Is her gripe legit? (I didn't give her money for free)

I've posted here that I have used the services of escorts down through the years but here's another twist on the story. Some 13 years or so ago when Craigslist personals was still a big thing I met a girl who was in her earl to mid 20s. We linked up and I helped her out financially. We have managed to still be hooking up some 12 or 13 years later. Same arrangement, we hook up and I pay her. This girl has really become a good friend of mine and even though she has moved around quite a bit, even several states away, when she comes to town we still link up. She's now back in our state but lives about 3 hours away. Too far for me to drive to her and hook up but ever few weeks or so she'll catch a train or a ride to my area and we'd link up, yes, again for some financial compensation. There have been times when she'd make it my way and our schedules just didn't line up so we couldn't hook up. The last time she came to my area she was in town for her nephew's high school graduation. She let me know at the last minute she was coming so it was a little difficult to get away to drive to the next city where she was to see her. What I didn't know was that she was only wanting to link up, for payment, so she could have the money to buy her nephew a graduation gift. We didn't link up and now she's got an attitude towards me because she didn't have the funds to but a gift for her nephew. She knows how I feel about her so she just asked me to send her like $40 for a gift, no hook up but just send her money for a gift. One thing about me is that I guess I do live by the quid pro quo motto, I scratch your back and you scratch mine. She wanted me to just send her money for no sex. There have been times in the past when my money was a little short and I asked for a "free" hook up and she ignored me or flat out said no, however, she expected me to just send her money in exchange for nothing. Now she has an attitude saying stuff like "I know where I stand with you." Did I ruin a 13 year relationship over $40? Again, she's never just let me hook up with her for free because I didn't have the funds but she expected me to just give her money and she not give up anything? I'm sure her nephew knows her situation and her presence at his graduation was more important to him than whether she came with a gift in her hand. Would you have bit the bullet and sent the $40 for free to keep the relationship going or would you have thought back to all the times she said no to a free fuck?

Was I wrong to not send the money or was she wrong to just expect me to give it to her for free?

 

nope , not in my views, she only provides the service for Money - which is fine , who knows maybe it would have been the start of a long line of requests for money / gifts

and it was short notice - so i think you need to have a converstion and say somethign like
"It was too short notice, especially considering we have a clear arrangement involving sex for money. I’m happy to continue, but only under the agreed-upon terms and conditions."

 

Why hell. If she's fucking you for money why can't she fuck someone else for money too. Here's this woman close to 40 and she can't muster up a few bucks to buy a present? Can you see what's wrong with this picture. It seems like she's abusing the relationship. She only wants to hook up when she's strapped for cash. You might as well let her go and use the cash you would have given her for a younger escort. Especially if this is the only way you're getting any pussy.
