Trump terminating all trade talks with Canada immediately because he is upset about Canada's Digital Service Tax.

Trump indicates more tariffs will imposed on Canada within a week.

Trump says he’s ‘terminating’ all trade discussions with Canada

    excerpt:

“We have just been informed that Canada, a very difficult Country to TRADE with … has just announced that they are putting a Digital Services Tax on our American Technology Companies, which is a direct and blatant attack on our Country,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

Bondi fires three senior jan. 6 riot prosecutors without giving a reaon.

They were beyond the probationary period.

The firings were issued Friday. The Trump administration hasn't responded. Bondi made a vague comment in the letter that simply referred to Article II of the U.S. Constitution to try to justify the firings.

Pam Bondi fires three Jan. 6 prosecutors, sending another chill through DOJ workforce

    excerpt:

“To fire them, without explanation, is a slap in the face not only to them, but to all career DOJ prosecutors,” the official said. “No one is safe from this administration’s whims and impulses. And the public certainly is not served by the continued brain drain of DOJ — we are losing the best among us every day.”

US attorney general Pam Bondi fires three Jan 6 Capitol riot prosecutors; letter cites Constitution, offers no specific reason - Times of India

    excerpt:

Earlier, in January, then-acting deputy attorney general Emil Bove fired around two dozen prosecutors originally hired on temporary assignments to support the Capitol riot cases. These lawyers had recently been moved into permanent roles following Trump’s election win. Bove said at the time he would not “tolerate subversive personnel actions by the previous administration.”

Trump's officials refer to people in the justice system holding him responsible for trying to overthrow the 2020 election as 'subversive'.

Trying to steal the 2020 election from Biden is subversive, not the people holding Trump accountable.

Caddies and greenskeepers are known to call Trump Pele’ due to his skill at kicking the ball out of the rough.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

The free world thinks he’s a boob.

'I voted for Trump to let ICE deport criminals - but instead they came for my husband'
Morgan Karimi said that her family no longer supports President Trump despite voting for him in November after he detained her husband.

    excerpt:

“We believed in his [Trump’s] immigration policies and were completely blindsided and truly believed that only criminals were being detained,” Morgan said to Newsweek.

People shouldn't be so gullible next time.

The public had over nine years to observe Trump from when he announced his campaign in 2015 until the November 2024 election. They knew what he was.

Trump would read the snake poem during his campaign rallies in 2024 and rant about how the person knew the snake was dangerous but took it in anyway and was bitten.

Trump and his associates use this type of tactic. Supposedly, they are going to go after some nefarious group in order to 'protect' everyone else.

Speaker Johnson in Congress is using a similar tactic by saying he is cutting Medicaid so that he can stop all the supposed unemployed young men from living off Medicaid and playing video games all day. Some will believe it and then become upset later when their Medicaid is cut and say that they thought it would only happen to freeloading unemployed young men playing video games.

Took a while today to catch up on the Donald news... but reading this seems like a descent into hell.

It is also reminiscent of many dystopian novels out there.

Does anyone else see any comparisons to what happened in the 1930s in Europe???

Trump wants to selectively apply birthright citizenship.

His administration is trying to interpret the words 'subject to the jurisdiction thereof' in the 14th Amendment such that it means it doesn't give birthright citizenship to offspring of migrants because they supposedly aren't subject to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Another argument is that the 14th Amendment is only meant for the offspring of slaves.

Frequently Asked Questions: Citizenship under 14th Amendment

    excerpt:

"Some have suggested that the 14th Amendment’s phrase, “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,” is open to reinterpretation. It’s not. Over 100 years ago, the Supreme Court explained that this phrase simply meant that the children born to foreign diplomats or hostile forces are not automatically U.S. citizens.[4] The Supreme Court has subsequently affirmed the understanding that non-citizens, including undocumented immigrants, are subject to the jurisdiction of the United States under the 14th Amendment.[5]"

The only problem now is that the so-called "Supreme " court is now corrupted and is willing to do the bidding of the pussy grabber instead of adjudicating correct interpretations. Long time settled law is out the window now. ;):fearscream:
