Trump’s pardons included health care execs behind massive frauds

    excerpt:

At the last minute, President Donald Trump granted pardons to several individuals convicted in huge Medicare swindles that prosecutors alleged often harmed or endangered elderly and infirm patients while fleecing taxpayers.

“These aren’t just technical financial crimes. These were major, major crimes,” said Louis Saccoccio, chief executive officer of the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association, an advocacy group.

Trump’s pardons included health care execs behind massive frauds

    excerpt:

Trump commuted the sentence of former nursing home magnate Philip Esformes in late December. He was serving a 20-year sentence for bilking $1 billion from Medicare and Medicaid. An FBI agent called him “a man driven by almost unbounded greed.” Prosecutors said that Esformes used proceeds from his crimes to make a series of “extravagant purchases, including luxury automobiles and a $360,000 watch.”

Who? Trump or the nursing home fraudster whom Trump pardoned who bilked $1 billion?

As part of Trump's big beautiful bill, the GOP in Congress is going to be cutting Medicaid under the guise of going after young men who are supposedly unemployed by choice and living off it.

After Trump pardoned someone who stole $1 billion from Medicare and Medicaid.

And who in his second term made RFK Jr. head of the Health Department who at his confirmation hearing was confused about the differences between Medicare and Medicaid and the various parts of Medicare (Part A, Part B, etc.)

Plus Trump put Dr. Oz in charge of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Trump’s justice department issues directive to strip naturalized Americans of citizenship for criminal offenses

    excerpt:

The Trump administration has codified its efforts to strip some Americans of their US citizenship in a recently published justice department memo that directs attorneys to prioritize denaturalization for naturalized citizens who commit certain crimes.

The memo, published on 11 June, calls on attorneys in the department to institute civil proceedings to revoke a person’s United States citizenship if an individual either “illegally procured” naturalization or procured naturalization by “concealment of a material fact or by willful misrepresentation”.

Gallup poll taken in June 2025.

Republican pride in America is currently at 92%.

    For Democrats it's 36%.

    For independents it's 53%.

Holy Shit! Trump just schooled Fox News and all naive Americans about how fucked up our government is and the world! Maria Bartiromo was doing the interview. She says:

"The Chinese have hacked “into our telecom system; they’ve been stealing intellectual property; fentanyl, COVID, I mean, you know, all of this stuff, so how do you negotiate with obviously a bad actor and trust them on economics?”

And then Trump went for it. “You don’t think we do that to them?” he said with a smirk. “You don’t think we do that to them?” he repeated as Bartiromo struggled during a few seconds of silence. “We do,” the president said. “We do a lot of things.”

“So,” Bartiromo asked, “that’s the way the world works?” Trump shrugged. “That’s the way the world works. It’s a nasty world."

    Trump Insults America—Again

    excerpt:

This isn’t the first time that Trump has resorted to this kind of embarrassing equivocation. In early 2017, then–Fox host Bill O’Reilly asked Trump about U.S. relations with Russia and how he might get along with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “He’s a killer,” O’Reilly said. “Putin’s a killer.”

Trump bristled—and rose to Putin’s defense. “There are a lot of killers,” Trump said, with the same kind of half-smiling smirk he deployed at Bartiromo. “We’ve got a lot of killers. What do you think? Our country’s so innocent?”

    Trump Insults America—Again

    excerpt:

"Some people support Trump because they want certain policies on immigration or taxes or judges. Others enjoy his reality-TV approach to politics. Some of his critics reject his plans; others reject everything about the man and his character. But none of us, as Americans, have to accept Trump’s calumnies about the United States. We are a nation better than the dictatorships in Moscow and Beijing; we enjoy peace and prosperity that predated Trump and will remain when he is gone."

The line "we're better than this" again.

Maybe the U.S. isn't better than this anymore.
