Certainly as long as Trump, his henchmen and women and the Republicans are in power. You'd think at some point Americans would wise up and see how they've been screwed...but NO. Too many fucking selfish ppl with their own interests.

I'm beginning to wonder if we were ever better... we had times when it seemed we were... but history, the unwashed versions, show us that we have been doing bad things to good people for years and years.

Trump just has the ability to reveal it with a smirk.

Not much can be expected from the shallow mind of Bartiromo.

She's upset about Trump saying America does nefarious things to China and other countries. What else can be expected from Trump who was proud to bomb Syria while bragging about chocolate cake.

Below is an image of Bartiromo with a slaphappy look on her face as Trump does a hand gesture to describe what he says was the most beautiful piece of chocolate cake at Mar-a-Lago that he and President Xi of China were eating while he told Xi he had just ordered the bombing of 'Iraq'. Bartiromo corrected him by saying it was Syria.

Judging by Trump's hand gesture, the piece of chocolate cake was about a foot tall.

Bartiromo was giddy and excited like a toddler and asked Trump, "What did he say?!"

Trump told Bartiromo that Xi asked his interpreter to repeat Trump's remark.

Xi had trouble believing Trump would suddenly talk about bombing Syria while they were eating chocolate cake.

The bill still has to go back to the House for passage.

    https://www.npr.org/2025/07/01/nx-s1-5450367/senate-republicans-trump-tax-bill-medicaid

    excerpt:

"The bill would extend the tax cuts that were passed by Republicans in 2017, preventing a potential hike in rates at the end of this year when the current provisions are set to expire. Republicans are offsetting some of those costs with cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, along with major changes to Medicaid, the joint federal and state program that provides health care for roughly 70 million low-income, elderly and disabled Americans. Early estimates suggest around 11 million people could lose coverage under the GOP bill."

Trump says indirecly he will look into deporting Musk as the feud reignites.

Trump says he'll 'look' at deporting Musk as feud reignites

    excerpt:

"It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!!," Musk posted Monday afternoon. In political terms,"pork" generally refers to spending in lawmakers' constituencies.

Trump gives little indication of reducing the national debt. In 2016 he said he would reduce it to zero within 8 years of being president, supposedly by reducing the trade deficit which wouldn't reduce the national debt.

The current military budget is near a trillion dollars per year. Trump has said that it doesn't need to be that high but he's still supporting bills that would maintain or increase that level of spending (his vague Reagan-esque Golden Dome defense system) while cutting taxes for the wealthier (that were passed in 2017 and will expire at the end of 2025) and reducing benefits such as Medicaid and food stamps for people who need it the most.

Musk isn't too bright in the political world.

He should have spent his time on working with Congress to stop passing bills that raise the national debt by trillions of dollar each, like the current budget reconciliation bill.

As a special government employee, he squandered his time firing the most vulnerable federal workers. It reduced efficiency and effectively increased the costs of federal programs. It also compromised data security. It gave him an emotional kick.

Trump plans to effectively bypass the judiciary and make himself the judiciary.

DeSantis plans to deputize National Guard to make them immigration judges to expedite deportations.

Trump OKs using National Guard as immigration judges at Florida detention center

    excerpt:

"TALLAHASSEE — President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he would approve Florida’s plan to expedite deportations by having qualified National Guard members work as immigration judges.

Trump made the announcement during his visit to a new state-run immigration detention center in South Florida dubbed Alligator Alcatraz."

The deputizing tactic is another trick to effectively bypass the justice system.

Just after the 2020 election, Trump wanted officials in Georgia to be deputized so that they would have the power to go through people personal data in Georgia on a hunt to try to find votes that were allegedly stolen from him and given to Biden.

Trump got away with that tactic by making Musk a special federal employee.

It permitted Musk and a group of rag-tag college-age people to rummage through the sensitive data of the public stored at agencies such as the IRS and Social Security.

It's like a foreign spy who sneaked into the U.S. government and sabotaged it, only it was done right out in public view with Musk standing next to Trump in the Oval Office wearing his all-black outfit like the arch villain in a Superman movie.
