It matters not what your profession was or is, what your sexual proclivities are or have been, whether you are paid or unpaid to do something, even if you initially said yes or suggested yes you can change your mind - NO MEANS NO. STOP means STOP. There is no justification for rape.

 

As a former sex worker, we get sexually assaulted and assaulted and robbed and sometimes stalked and harassed all the time.
The big problem is that if you go to the police, you’re admitted to doing something illegal . So, unless you’re willing to be charged with solicitation, most sex workers will just go cry it off. It’s not always rape, but typically a beating because some fat unhealthy old man couldn’t get it up . The male ego is a dangerous thing. That’s what we need to learn to navigate if you want to do sex work. Even just last year ( I only do online things now) I had a long time customer on Fansly offer me an all expenses paid trip to Mexico for a week. I declined several times but he was persistent. He spent lots of money on private chats over an entire year trying to convince me to go. At one point I suggested maybe a few thousand dollars for my time on top of the trip and he agreed. After some discussion with my partner, we decided it was just too much risk for too little reward. He then, threatened to doxx me. Apparently somehow he had my real name and address. Absolutely terrifying. Literally extorting me because he had my PM where I asked for money for sex. I talked to a lawyer and long story short, de to tell him to fuck off. Long story short, he reported me to fansly for prostitution and got my account banned for life. So, could I have charged him with extortion? My lawyer says yes but would most likely result in a legal stalemate where we just agreed to not press charges against each other.
This is why sex workers should be legal.
