I notice musk is on his knees again, sniffin' around for trumps ass. All trump had to do was to threaten the billions musk is making off the government (the taxpayers). Somehow, musk didn't see fit to cut his own waste---just throw a bunch of working people out of their jobs! Not enough money in the world for those pricks!!:rage:

The major difference today, is while up until the 1960's ALL the money stayed in the US and while the working classes were not always treated fairly, the bosses generated the business, built the factories and distributed the goods. With thousands of workers, the cost to EACH worker to support their lifestyle was only a couple of dollars a month.
Many of these industrial areas had housing for the workers, shops, leisure facilities and medical care, all set up and subsidised by the companies.
Clearly this was not always the case, so the unions were formed and grew.
Unfortunately, SOME of the unions were stupid and greedy, and a few saw them as a way of making money from the companies while producing nothing.

It all went belly up starting in the 1960's, when the corporations were formed and found that they could reduce costs by importing the goods.
From successions of presidents, to the unions, to the workers, no one seemed to see how it would all end up.
Manufacturing started to fail, jobs were lost, but who cares, the east can do all the work and we can live the American dream.

    Whops.
The east ended up with all the dollars, which were only of value when invested in the US, so the American economy headed into recession.
Even a 12 year schoolboy should have been able to work that one out.

Needless to say, the US was certainly not the only country to make that mistake, but they were the largest.
    Remember that old saying.
"The bigger they are, the harder they fall"

Yes. It's a shame we have to be confronted with the scary realities of life. Much better to adopt an ostrich strategy, until we wake up without our savings or a bomb explodes on our heads! The bliss of ignorance can be short-lived!

I always feel better knowing that our Fearless Leader still has 3,875 more bizarre tricks up his sleeve. No. 1 Having WWE Events on the White House Grounds. No. 2: Possibly feeding people to alligators on public TV. . . . . . . .
