Did you have your eyes opened or closed the first time you exited the aircraft?

We dove from about 12 feet into a natural pool beneath a man made dam. The danger was you had to dive between two rocks that were only 3 feet apart.

I kept hearing the jump masters would push you out the first time. So when I got to the door I paused, waiting for a push that never came. Then the muscle memory took over and before I even had time to panic, it was 1 1 thousand, 2 1 thousand, 3 1 thousand, 4 1 thousand. Boom! Check canopy and gain canopy control...

I was halfway to the ground before I realized I'd just jumped out of an airplane. On purpose.

They never “kicked” us out the door when I went through training in the 80’s. Not saying that they never did it, though. I would imagine that it was something that was done in combat decades ago.

Scored some weed in a crackhouse in an extremely dodgy neighbourhood in an extremely dodgy town (Dangriga) in an extremely poor country (Belize) Female friend was desparate and was going to go off with a very dodgy local to satisfy her craving. I insisted that I go in her place. Very, very nervy time but kept my cool ( showed no fear but wished I was packing an Uzi.) Scored, didnt get ripped off and got out of there alive but the open hostility towards me was palpable.

Outside being held and holding people at gunpoint I did try to go 100 mph with a 70s truck on a small side street. That didn’t work well when the stop sign passed right by. 16yr old. Dumb ass move with a buddy of mine.

The most dangerous thing I've ever done was to survive, the stupidest thing I ever did was to believe that life must make some sort of sense.
