Man---some really good movies mentioned in this thread! I guess right close to the top for me is the original Blade Runner. The musical score was excellent.:sunglasses::D

I have lived a long time and have several favorite movies. This one centers about a woman and a horse doing the impossible in the 1970's, when I was in my 20's. I watch it when I need to be uplifted and witness perseverance.

    different genres generate different favorites:

    THE STING
    OUT OF AFRICA
    LAWRENCE OF ARABIA
    THE QUIET AMERICAN
    PLATOON/SAVING PRIVATE RYAN
    FORREST GUMP
    PREDATOR
    INTERSTELLAR/ARRIVAL
    THE BIRD CAGE
    BIG FISH
    THE HAUNTING (1963)

at a State Auditors'/Investigators' staff meeting we took a break and this question came up.. I said OUT OF AFRICA and my supervisor said ""That's a chick flick!!"

    I said "really?"

I was a big hit with the lady auditors in attendance.. I don't really care if someone thinks differently than I
