I don't understand why people must place music in these narrow corners.. emo/hardcore/punk.. whatever.. Who cares?? If you like it, listen to it, if you dont then don't listen to them.. Damn.. What a meaningless discussion..

There's nothing wrong with emo, there's nothing wrong with skateboarding.. It's only wrong when you don't respect other peoples tastes or opinions..

Anyone who says that My Chemical Romance isn't a shitty band, obviously doesn't know good music...

and therefore shouldn't be taken seriously. :H

Let the emo kids whine.. :p

That's bullshit. You can't judge someone on one fucking band or genre that they like. Besides emo, screamo and The Kinks, you have no idea what I listen to. =|

haha.... This is funny, until you have seen MCR in concert, you havent listened to MCR.... Ive seen them twice now, and they became my favorite band, because how great a show they put on. At first, i thought MCR was ok, nothing too special, but then when i went to warped tour, wow, they put so much energy into their music. They werent even supposed to be on the main stage when i went (at the gorge in wa), but they put on an amazing show. And everyone after them, from Story of the Year, to Flogging Molley, just couldnt stop talking about how great they were. And i couldnt agree more. MCR's cd is the shit, and if you dont agree, then ohh well, thats your oppinion, and this is mine.

There's a difference between emo and emo kids.
Emo = music (which I happen to like)
    Emo kid = fashion trend.

Look, I never intended to argue with anyone about this. It's just my opinion, if you don't like MCR then that's your opinion and I respect that. So here's a neat idea, try respecting other peoples opinions?
I mean, I get that you don't like them. Obviously they're not going to be to everyone's taste, but you could at least respect the fact that some people do like them. Some people do think they're good. Just, instead of slagging a band off maybe you could just either not post about them or state that you don't like them and move on?

    Just a thought.

The two go hand in hand, hence the term "Emo Kid" spawned by "Emo"

No, they don't actually. Emo kid is just a fashion trend, and most people that are classed as emo kids aren't even into real emo.

(I edited my last post, rather than double posting, 'cause normally people don't reply straight away. xD)
