I grew up with internet but until I was 15 i did not have my own laptop or pc. So when I was home alone i used the family pc in living room. I'll never get over the anecdotal perception that females start experimenting with stimulating themselves so much younger -- almost always by humping -- and, without any hint of an achievable climax, just keep at it for years guided by some compulsion they cannot discern.

Whereas males generally just hit an age where they're like, "I guess I'll try stroking it and see what happens," and within a few promising attempts achieve satisfaction. I don't know what that says about the difference between those two genders but it would be foolhardy to write off such a prevalent dichotomy.
