Putin bombed a U.S. electronics company in Ukraine last week.

When asked about it at a press gathering, Trump deflected the question and started talking about the ten conflicts around the world that he mistakenly thinks he settled.

Trump orders removal of Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook

    excerpt:

"President Trump purported to fire me 'for cause' when no cause exists under the law, and he has no authority to do so," Cook said in a statement.

"I will not resign. I will continue to carry out my duties to help the American economy as I have been doing since 2022," she added.

"We will take whatever actions are needed to prevent [Trump's] attempted illegal action," Cook's lawyer, Abbe David Lowell, said.

Trump opens new front on his war to control central bank.

Trump fires Fed Governor Lisa Cook, opening new front in fight for control over central bank

    excerpt:

"The firing is likely to touch off a legal battle and Cook could be allowed to remain in her seat while the case plays out. Cook would have to fight the legal battle herself, as the injured party, rather than the Fed.

It is the latest effort by the administration to take control over one of the few remaining independent agencies in Washington. Trump has repeatedly attacked the Fed's chair, Jerome Powell, for not cutting its short-term interest rate, and even threatened to fire him."

    https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/22/us/politics/can-trump-fire-a-fed-governor.html

    excerpt:

What has the Supreme Court done lately?

In interim rulings on emergency applications since Mr. Trump took office, the court has let him fire leaders of the Merit Systems Protection Board, the National Labor Relations Board and the Consumer Product Safety Commission without cause. In one of those rulings, the unsigned majority opinion said Mr. Trump could remove officials who exercise power on his behalf “because the Constitution vests the executive power in the president.”

I appreciate Trump's diplomatic efforts, but he was not in contact with Indian officials or government during the war.

After India's cruise missiles hit 11 Pakistani air bases, compounding the heavy damage caused to Pakistani air defence infrastructure and making Pakistan highly vulnerable to further Indian attacks, the Pakistanis themselves called up India through hotlines for ceasefire, which the Indians agreed to.

It is however possible that the Pakistanis were persuaded for the same by the US as well earlier, and they cited the same. But it is the heavy destruction caused to their military assets that compelled them to seek a ceasefire.

    Trump faces hamburger headache.

    Rising beef prices.

Trump faces hamburger headache after pledge to cut food prices

    excerpt:

“I won on groceries, we’re going to bring those prices way down”, Mr Trump said after his victory.

The president was rattled earlier this year when an outbreak of avian flu caused egg prices to soar. In March, he told his followers on Truth Social to “shut up about egg prices”.

The cost of beef has risen by nearly a fifth since 2024 and is expected to keep rising for at least three more years, according to a forecast by Rabobank.

Ranchers are grappling with a prolonged drought that has led America’s beef herd to shrink to its smallest size since 1951.

Trump can senselessly release billions of gallons of water from reservoirs around the country and say he 'won' the 'beef wars'.

trump says that people who burn US flags should be jailed for a year and yet the only proper way to dispose of a US flag is to burn it.

Is he going to jail the military and boy scouts??
