For a while now I wasn't sure what the Special Olympics was all about. But sometime back I learned that it is also to help people gain confidence and self esteem along with physical fitness. That's good because that's important by itself.
I worked on a special Olympian. An elder. A power lifter who brought home a lot of medals. It gave him routine (going to the lifting gym four days a week, beating personal records. Probably one of the leanest, strongest people I know.
