All these videos of barefoot men and women strolling barefoot in markets or bookstores or libraries (gas stations are outdoors, so do not count) drive me bananas. I used to "dare the barriers" with predictable success and the inevitable few failures, but I gave it all up. Dunno. Life intervened, although outdoor barefooting never stopped, only increased (my soles have toughened wonderfully). Back to it now. Starting small, I went to the (1) dry cleaner and area (2) Whole Foods to return some Amazon item. No problem, no comment. Miles begin with first steps (walked 8 miles barefoot the past couple of weeks). Barefoot is so *#*?!!* wonderful.
Today I barefooted a (3) Wawa (and "wa" not?). Freakin' linoleum got my soles dirtier than 2 miles round my 'hood. I love linoleum for its swell smoothness and invisible filth.
I went fishing this morning barefoot like always and then came home and did yard work barefoot and my bare feet got a little bit dirty and muddy but it felt so damn good getting my bare feet muddy.
I bet it does I love going barefoot in restaurants and I never have any problems being barefoot in restaurants .
