I honestly couldn't live without winter. I love summer too, but there is just something about the snow that soothes my soul. There's only a month or so of winter left up here and I'll be sad to see old man winter go. I went skiing today and though the conditions were kindy crappy, I still loved every minute of gliding down the slopes. and ofcourse, it is always great to kick up your heals in front of a nice fire place in the lodge with an ice cold one So yeah, I know many of you folks are dying for the summertime, but I can wait. I look forward to hanging out in shorts in the warm sunshine, but winter is something I don't think I could ever live without.
that is a good piont of view. i love summer. but sometimes you do need a brack from the hot. and feel the cold. i still don't like the snow and would be quite happy with out it. love.
today was fine, though it was cold out. today was the only day this winter i had the urge to wear my gortex jacket over my BDU blouse. i haven't worn a winter jacket at all while at school for classes. i didn't mind the snow, because we didn't get that much earlier in the year, but now its coming down, but the cold was almost unbearable. but yea, i need the winter to offset the summer. i need time to get nice and fat, so in the spring i can work my ass off for the summer weather...
I agree with you dhs. I feel the same way about summer as I do about winter. Maybe it's because I have Norwegian blood in me................... ~namaste~
Crazy man... Your absolutly crazy.... I enjoy the first and second snow... But this is getting old fast.. Im tired of chapped lips, dry skin, static shock everytime i touch something metal, Putting on 10 layers to go out side, Shoes and socks, Pants, Sweaters, Wet pants and socks, Not being able to take a nice long walk, Waiting for summer here... Getting rather impatient...
You sound a lot like me. I think I have some "damage" from all the shocks I've gotten this winter. I enjoy the first couple snow falls too but now I'm ready for Spring. I'm ready to breathe in the fresh air and not have to have my scarf wrapped around my head to do it.
