From what I've read about the two it seems the shot comes with a lot less risk of complications. I know my spouse rejected the IUD within a few weeks of insertion. She was also on the pill back then and after ten years she began to have menstrual issues. For BC I went the vasectomy route which allowed us to be sexually active without concern for many years.

Hi, i have the 3 month injection. Started years ago and kept with it mainly due to very rarely having a period ( i hate them ). I've had maybe 4 or 5 in the last 7 - 8 years.

I would consult a physician instead of getting random responses on a forum, which don't relate to your own body. You ladies are all different so it doesn't matter what some choose to do. Whatever you may decide to use, should be your own choice not going with the herd.

I know women for whom the IUD didn't work. Their body kind of rejected it. Others were screwed up on the pill. Two had a 3-month insertion, which stopped their periods and allegedly removed any risk of pregnancy. When they came off it, they had great difficulty getting pregnant. Difficulty in re-starting monthly ovulation. One of them went down the IVF route.

As yet, there is no such thing in life as 100% in life.

Take that as general wisdom. :)

In this instance, it means no such thing as 100% protection or 100% safe.

Speak to your physician and get information about your body so you can make an informed decision.

However, if advice from a forum may be useful: I would suggest that you keep your body natural; that you don't use contraception and that you let nature take its course. Your body will respond naturally and potentially babies will be born.

I suggest that advice is equally goid when compared to any other forum advice on the subject.

My partner and I are extremely sexually active and with me theres something I crave about being balls deep inside her while climaxing I can't resist. We're youngish and have 5 kids between us 3 mine n the 3 times my ex n I fucked around we found out. I believe I have some pretty potent swimmers due mostly to the amount of semen I ejaculate.. A LOT, and my hi testosterone lifestyle. All that said my current gf 30 and me 33 have never used anything other than the IUD and it has proved it's worth to us literally thousands of times over these last 5 years
