Being naked has a very special meaning for me—it's not just a way of life, but also an expression of my beliefs. As a devout Protestant nudist, I feel most comfortable in my own skin when I can live freely and naturally. For me, being naked means freedom and authenticity.
I think we live in a world where clothing often acts as a mask; it can divide rather than unite. When I'm naked, I feel closer to God and nature. I value the fellowship with like-minded people who also celebrate the beauty of the human body without unnecessary coverings.
It's not just about the physical aspect, but also about the spirituality that accompanies it. In this state of openness, I can better accept and appreciate myself and others. Being naked is an act of love for me—love for myself, for life, and for God.

One of the people I love the most in the world, outside my mom and my daughters, is a friend I met about 20 years ago. I was a teenager, 15 or so, and she was close to 50 at the time. She's aproaching her seventies nowadays. I was a nudist since quite little, and at least in my country, the few spaces for nudists are, how to put it, quite high on 'age average'. So long story short, despite my age at the time, I hung out with maybe not grannies, but mature women since were the only girls to befriend I had arround most of the time at the nudist retreat my mom and I visited during the year.

This woman was, believe it or not, a nun. She loved nudism and being naked made her feel the closest to God. Of course she had no delirious mind, she knew she would be chastised by her superiors if it was ever found out. She didn't care, she was a nun out of faith and not out of a dogma. There are some nuns and priest who are quite progessist in their lives and how they preach their faith. Of course their fellows hate them, but unless they can prove something outrageous, well, it's not exactly brand news the mafia that the catholic churc can be at all its layers.

She was a nun, and a nudist, and she babysat me. I wasn't so little I needed babysat. But being with her, my mom, who also grew to adore her, let me stay at the retreat a few days more with her instead of taking me home. She never tried to talk God into me or her approach to what she, and you, call the old testament. Me being Jewish and all.

PD: She and some other women about her age being the friends I made at nudist places back when I was a teenager also mean I'm a proficient Canasta player.

Oh my goodness I love it when people talk about how their faiths influence their nudism/naturism!

I’m not religious but rather spiritual, I grew up with parents that let all of us choose how we believe because they felt that we should be free to do so without their influence. Naturism aids me to feel closer to the earth and all of its elements (especially water, oh how fun it is to swim and feel freely without judgement!) It’s so eye opening to see just how different we all are at our core both mentally and physically. We were made by our Mother Earth to exist freely in our bodies without judgment or shame! To me physical flaws are just not a thing, everybody is beautiful!

And love is on another level. A fully naked embrace from my mother or daughters is what makes me feel alive and loved the most. There's no comparison. Nothing is more sad for me than people with prejudices in the beauty of nudity.
