If you could "disinvent" one thing...

To respectfully play devil's advocate, I would say that a good portion of responsibility comes down to the user. I work in IT, but I barely use "tech" outside of work. I liken it to how I mostly follow a plant based diet, but on special occasions I may indulge in pizza.

Tobacco, alcohol, various drugs, etc. all can be problematic if the user allows them to be. And of course, there are those who lack self-control and those with substance abuse problems, but within the scope of most of society, the issues that come along with these things can be mitigated with responsible use.

I used to work in a long term care home and many of the residents were some of the loneliest people I've ever met. Nice folks with interesting life stories. Many of them could potentially benefit from the companionship of a chatbot. I've had conversations with chatgpt about life, philosophy, etc. It can be fun at times.

I feel that a lot of the problem comes from people being far too susceptible to marketing, advertising, and social media. People used to make their own clothes and wear sweaters grandma knit them. Now, being "unique" means buying the same pair of Nikes or Lululemon as everyone else, but in a slightly different colour.

And god forbid if you don't have social media. I've had more than one person stop speaking to me after us getting along well for almost a year once they find out I don't have social media.

Yes, but it doesn't mean God created humans fully formed. We evolved from something even MORE primitive than monkeys - green slime of some sort. So did everything.

Then again we are literally the product of "star dust". Particles that rain down upon the earth from the cosmos. This happens every day!

It's as likely a source of life on Earth as amino acids coming together and evolving from a hot vent undersea.

 

Exactly, we evolved from APES not monkeys. You should read up on evolutionary branches. It’s very interesting.

Poverty. There is plenty enough in this world for everyone and no one needs to suffer. The rich get richer the poor get poorer and grow in numbers. Even in the so called wealthier western countries the jobs and opportunities get scarcer and the numbers of working poor is growing exponentially as the greed of the people in the minority percentile take more and more of what they dont need.

 

Condoms. If condoms were not invented a cure for many many STI's would be found much faster with a lot less lives lost. Pregnancy numbers would not change as other ways of prevention would be utilized such as the male pill. (Why force prevention solely on women)

That is not correct sorry. You either didn't read my post earlier in this thread or misunderstood it.

Homo Sapiens did not evolve from apes either. We came from interbreeding, pre-human species, which likely evolved from other species we have not found evidence of yet.

If you take a course in anthropology, usually 101 intro you learn about Neanderthals, Denisovans, cro-magnon (first Homo sapiens), and other species whose DNA courses through our blood.

Of course there are remnant DNA in our bloodstream that we share with the ancestors of frogs. I bet some of the bacteria we harbor inside us is evolved from the first bacteria on earth. That doesn't mean our species evolved from the same one.

Put it this way to make it PERFECTLY CLEAR...HUMANS DID NOT EVOLVE FROM ANY OTHER SPECIES THAT EXISTS TODAY.

The species we evolved from were completely killed off or interbred, in any car, extinct.

Hey, a lot of what you say is right on. There's a lot of hard facts of aliens influencing ancient societies and there sure is government cover ups. Are humans of alien origin? The existence of Starseeds within some of us definitely exists.

 

Agriculture, without it humans would not have gotten so comfortable and become so destructive to this planet. We would be living much closer to the natural order of things.
