Trump makes the worn-out shallow remark that mocks global warming during a local snow storm event and claims that cold events local in space and time supposedly disprove warming trends globally and long-term.

He doesn't understand how global changes such as warmng can lead to more aggressive storms regionally.

Trump Mocks Climate Change Concerns Ahead of Winter Storm

    excerpt:

“Record Cold Wave expected to hit 40 States. Rarely seen anything like it before,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social on Friday. “Could the Environmental Insurrectionists please explain — WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GLOBAL WARMING???”

Trump Mocks Climate Change Concerns Ahead of Winter Storm

    excerpt:

Experts agree that, on average, climate change is leading to shorter and milder winters. Research also indicates that climate change can make some extreme weather events—including heat waves, heavy rainfall, severe floods, droughts, extreme wildfires, and hurricanes—more intense and more frequent. Some experts have hypothesized that climate change may be making winter storms more intense as well, though there’s still a “genuine scientific debate” on that, according to Callahan.

But what scientists do agree on, he says, is that, as the planet’s atmosphere gets warmer, it carries more moisture, which leads to more precipitation being released, including snow.“For every degree warmer, you get about 7% more moisture holding capacity in the air, and so we certainly see this happening in summer (with) extreme rain,” Callahan says. “So you could imagine situations in which winter storms have more precipitation and, therefore, more snow than they did before.”

FEMA firings delayed until after snow storm hits the U.S.

    https://www.cnn.com/2026/01/23/politics/fema-halts-terminations-winter-storm

    excerpt:

"The Federal Emergency Management Agency has abruptly halted ongoing terminations of hundreds of disaster workers as the agency prepares for an enormous winter storm expected to pound a large swath of the country in the coming days.

In an email Thursday afternoon, obtained by CNN, staff were told that FEMA would “cease offboarding” disaster workers whose employment contracts are expiring in the days ahead— a practice that had been ongoing since the start of January."

F.B.I. Agent Who Tried to Investigate ICE Officer in Shooting Resigns
The resignation of the agent, Tracee Mergen, was only the latest shock wave to have emerged from the Justice Department’s handling of the shooting of Renee Good.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/23/us/fbi-agent-ice-shooting-renee-good.html

    excerpt:

"After the incident, several Trump administration officials described Ms. Good as a “domestic terrorist,” accusing her of trying to ram Mr. Ross with her vehicle. But a video analysis by The New York Times showed no indication that he had been run over.

Senior Justice Department officials have repeatedly said there are no plans to follow the path normally taken in such situations and pursue an investigation into whether Mr. Ross, who fired multiple shots at Ms. Good, had used excessive force.

Federal investigators have also refused to cooperate with state and local prosecutors in Minnesota, complicating any efforts they might take to open their own investigations into Mr. Ross."

The Trump administration has embarked on a campaign where people can complain about entities in the park system that offend them, such as the fact that slavery existed in the U.S.

Stephen Miller is offended by anything that he perceives as tarnishing what he perceives to be a perfect, ethical, white, American, Biblical race. To him, a factual statement in a park that slavery existed is not an accurate story of the nation's past and must be removed.

Trump’s Park Goons Tear Down Slavery Exhibits

    excerpt:

“In accordance with Secretary’s Order No. 3431... all interpretive signage is currently under review,” an Interior Department spokesperson told the outlet in July. “This effort reinforces our commitment to telling the full and accurate story of our nation’s past. Each piece of public feedback we receive is manually reviewed and evaluated.”

Trump’s Park Goons Tear Down Slavery Exhibits

    https://www.cnn.com/2026/01/22/politics/michael-fanone-troy-nehls-jack-smith-hearing

    excerpt:

As Republican Rep. Troy Nehls attempted to place blame for the January 6, 2021, riot on Capitol Police officials and not on President Donald Trump, former Washington, DC, police officer Michael Fanone — who was severely beaten by protestors that day — interrupted with a cough and a quick message.

The incident occurred during a Thursday hearing where Jack Smith, the former special prosecutor who led two failed prosecutions against Trump, publicly testified before the House Judiciary Committee.

“I can tell you gentlemen, that the fault does not lie with Donald Trump,” Nehls, of Texas, said, addressing several law enforcement officers attending the hearing who responded to the riot that day.

Nehls said the fault of the attack lies with “the US Capitol leadership team.”

“We know they had the intelligence,” Nehls said before Fanone, after a loud cough, interrupted.

“F**k yourself,” Fanone, who was dragged out and beaten in a crowd of rioters during one of the most violent clashes that day, said loudly.

Trump instigated the deadly riot on Jan. 6 and sat for hours watching it and didn't do anything to stop it.

As Commander-in-Chief in charge of the DC National Guard, he had the most ability to stop it. Pelosi and Pence had to do it for him while trapped in the basement of the Capitol by bringing troops from neighboring Maryland and Virginia.

Only after troops arrived at the Capitol as a result of Pelosi and Pence did Trump finally realize his riot wasn't going to force Congress to not certify the 2020 election. That's when he told his rioters to go home in peace and love and to remember the riot forever.

Trump imposes 25% import tariffs on aluminum and steel with no exceptions.

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/10/politics/tariffs-steel-aluminum-trump

    excerpt:

President Donald Trump on Monday imposed a 25% tariff on all steel and aluminum imports into the United States with no exceptions or exemptions.

Although the United States gets most of its steel from Canada, Brazil and Mexico, the tariffs are largely — albeit indirectly — aimed at China.

“This is a big deal — making America rich again,” Trump said in announcing the tariffs, according to a pool report.

America imports very little steel directly from China, by far the world’s largest producer of steel. Steel tariffs of 25% launched in Trump’s first administration and continued by former President Joe Biden resulted in American importers shifting to other sources.

Trump's plan to become King of the World.

Trump Unveils World’s Tackiest Logo for His $1B Grift - NewsBreak

    excerpt:

"The logo of President Trump’s controversial new peacekeeping grift has been exposed as a cheap knock-off of the United Nations emblem smeared in gold.

The U.N. logo, designed after World War II, is meant to symbolize world unity and the quest for peace, featuring a map of the world on a polar projection surrounded by two olive branches.

Trump’s version, however, shows a map of the U.S. dominating the globe, with Europe not visible at all. Mexico and parts of the northern part of South America are just barely visible. Greenland, notably, is not."

Trump continues talking about his plan to make Gaza a luxury tourism site and his $1 billion pay-per-play world club.

He has said he wants to eject the Palestians to other countries such as Egypt.

Trump releases bizarre plans for ‘New Gaza’ with luxury flats and coastal tourism

    excerpt:

"President Trump signed the document on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum at a ceremony attended by Sir Tony Blair, who was controversially named on the board."

Trump shocks with proposal to make himself 'king of the world'

    excerpt:

"The full text of a charter for President Donald Trump's proposed Board of Peace sounds suspiciously like plans to make himself "king of the world," according to a political theorist.

A charter was sent out with invitations to dozens of world leaders, asking them to join the U.S. president on a panel to oversee the postwar management of Gaza, but the full text, obtained by The Times of Israel, conspicuously does not mention Gaza.

"So, the 'Board of Peace' [sic] not only doesn't mention Gaza in particular; it proposes to make Donald Trump in particular (not the president of the United States) king of the world," said Jacob T. Levy, a political theory professor at McGill University."

Tony Blair is still around. This time he's chumming with Trump instead of Bush 20 years ago. In the 2000's era, he was riding piggyback on Bush. Jr.

Bush and Blair were nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in the run-up to the U.S. invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan for supposedly bringing the world peace by threat of war. The wars and occupations lasted about 20 years.

Press secretary Leavitt is desperately trying to defend Trump's mix-up of country names. She says Trump refers to Greenland as Iceland because Greenland is a piece of ice.

CNN Host Calls Out Karoline Leavitt’s Lies After Trump Gaffe

    excerpt:

When NewsNation reporter Libbey Dean pointed out Trump had “appeared to mix up Greenland and Iceland around three times,” Leavitt retaliated on X.

“No, he didn’t, Libby,” she wrote, misspelling Dean’s first name.

“His written remarks referred to Greenland as a ‘piece of ice’ because that’s what it is. You’re the only one mixing anything up here,” she wrote, bypassing the fact that the journalist was referring to what Trump said, not what was written down.

I just spoke to a friend in St. Paul.

She said that the situation there is 10 times worse than what we’ve seen in the media and that ICE agents are like “roaches everywhere”.

Animals, all of them. Infected with Trump’s hate and blood lust.
