In January 6th news, yet another pardoned rioter has been rearrested…this time for threatening to murder Hakeem Jeffries.

Another “fine person” and patriot who will probably be re-pardoned in a never ending game of criminal ping pong.

Trump promises Schumer funding for NY tunnel project — if Penn Station and Dulles Airport are renamed after him
By Manu Raju and Adam Cancryn
    February 5, 2026

    https://www.cnn.com/2026/02/05/politics/schumer-trump-ny-funding-rename

    excerpt:

"But there was a condition: In exchange for the money, Schumer had to agree to rename New York’s Penn Station and Washington’s Dulles International Airport after Trump.

The startling offer, which was described by two people familiar with the conversation, was swiftly rejected by Schumer, who told the president he didn’t have the power to deliver on such an unorthodox request.

In the weeks since, Trump has continued to withhold the more than $16 billion earmarked for the long-planned Gateway project connecting New York and New Jersey through a new rail tunnel beneath the Hudson River."

Dulles Airport was named after John Foster Dulles after he had died.

    John Foster Dulles - Wikipedia

    excerpt:

"The Dulles International Airport in Dulles, Virginia and John Foster Dulles High, Middle, and Elementary Schools in Sugar Land, Texas (including the street (Dulles Avenue) where the school campuses are located), were named in his honor, as is John Foster Dulles Elementary School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a school in Chicago, Illinois.[57] New York named the Dulles State Office Building in Watertown, New York in his honor. In 1960 the U.S. Post Office Department issued a commemorative stamp honoring Dulles. At Princeton University, Dulles's alma mater, a section of Firestone Library is dedicated to Dulles, named the John Foster Dulles Library of Diplomatic History, which houses, among many American diplomatic documents and books, the personal documents of John Foster Dulles. The library was built in 1962.[58]"

Many entities are named after Dulles.

Trump has an uphill battle of changing all those names to his if he's jealous of Dulles.

    excerpt:

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), in a statement Thursday evening, called Trump’s ask “ridiculous.”

“These naming rights aren’t tradable as part of any negotiations, and neither is the dignity of New Yorkers,” she said. “At a time when New Yorkers are already being crushed by high costs under the Trump tariffs, the president continues to put his own narcissism over the good-paying union jobs this project provides and the extraordinary economic impact the Gateway tunnel will bring.”

    https://www.politico.com/news/2026/...ter-him-to-release-rail-tunnel-funds-00768242

    excerpt:

"The Trump administration has withheld billions in federal funding for the $16 billion project, arguing it is conducting a review into whether diversity, equity and inclusion practices had played a factor in awarding contracts for the job. Since that decision, Transportation Secretary Duffy and Trump have given conflicting public statements on the status of Gateway.

When completed, the project would expand the number of rail tunnels between New York City and New Jersey under the Hudson River.

The end of the Gateway tunnel project could put roughly 1,000 workers out of a job. A judge is expected to hear an emergency order to restart the federal funding Friday."

NPS to remove "racist" from description of Medgar Evers' killer

    excerpt:

"According to the National Parks conservation association, the National Parks Service was instructed to remove the word racist when describing Ever's killer, Byron De La Beckwith, who shot the civil rights leader. While visiting the home, a bullet hole left behind from the fatal shooting is still there.

"To not refer to him as a racist even though he was a lifelong member of the KKK, he's a devout white supremacist, and he also shot Medgar Evers in his own home?" asked Alan Spears, a member of the National Parks Conservation Association.

Spears said he is an advocate of all national parks. He does not agree with the potential change, saying it stems from an executive order made by President Donald Trump to "Restore Truth and Sanity to American History."

In May 2025, Trump said crews would begin reviewing public monuments to ensure they are uplifting and reminding Americans of their extraordinary heritage. Spears said this is a slap in the face to all the hard work Medgar Evers has done to improve the lives of Black Americans."

Mississippi civil rights marker no longer labels Signal Mountain assassin as 'racist'

    excerpt:

"Mississippi Today says the National Park Service has removed language from visitor brochures at the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Home National Monument that described the man who killed civil rights leader Medgar Evers as a racist. The change also eliminates other details about the assassination from educational material, the outlet reports.

Medgar Evers was shot and killed outside his home in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1963 by Byron De La Beckwith, a white supremacist and member of the Ku Klux Klan. Evers was shot as he got out of his car and while De La Beckwith waited in the bushes, and while Evers' entire family was inside the home, expecting him to come through the front door."

    excerpt:

“If the National Park Service is taking exception to that, just listen to the man’s own words,” Jackson Mayor John Horhn added, per the outlet describing the white nationalist murderer as a “self-described racist.”

60 years after his murder, Evers was awarded the highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2023.

Pehaps Trump should give the Presidential Medal of Freedom award to the KKK member who murdered Medgar Evers.

    Roy Cohn - Wikipedia

    excerpt:

"Roy Marcus Cohn (/koʊn/ KOHN; February 20, 1927 – August 2, 1986) was an American lawyer and prosecutor. He first gained fame as a prosecutor of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg in their trials (1952–53) and as Senator Joseph McCarthy's chief counsel during the Army–McCarthy hearings in 1954. Cohn had been assisting McCarthy's investigations of suspected communists. In the 1970s and during the 1980s, he became a prominent legal and political fixer in New York City.[2][3] He represented and mentored Donald Trump during Trump's early business career.[4] "
