While ice is obviously being deployed en masse as a psychological and political tool, what they are tasked with is enforcing the immigration laws by rounding up and detaining people who are in the country illegally. I am pleased that the law is being enforced and I am even pleased that it is being done as a spectacle to both encourage illegal aliens to leave and to deter others from even coming illegally. The reward for breaking the law should not be a polite and respectful “oh we really wish you wouldn’t do that.” It should be a swift and effective response that both stops the criminal’s behavior and serves as a deterrent to others who are considering the same behavior. To the extent that this deployment is having that effect, I say do it more. It’s interesting that you think the deployment of soldiers to enforce a federal law that forces white people to let black people attend their schools is laudable (boy hasn’t that sure turned out well) but the use of immigration agents to enforce federal Immigration laws is somehow inappropriate and is the cause of the problem. Again, I think about our perception filters. Out of curiosity, out of those here who think that his death that day was not easily foreseeable given the choices he made; would you yourself choose to go to an event such as that, when the demonstrated goal is to obstruct and harass law enforcement, to tie up their personnel and resources and, as necessary, get into physical altercations with them and get yourself arrested; would you then strap on a pistol and spare mags and head off to do this? Hell, I’m a second amendment supporter and a former infantryman who jumped out of perfectly good airplanes, and you couldn’t pay me to do something so stupid.
So no apology for accusing me of deleting your posts...... You like the use of fear, spectacle, and intimidation, and would like to see more. You like the deployment of the armed forces against the public. You don't seem to agree with "black people" attending the same schools as "white people". What do you call that? ..and you talk about perception filters...whatever that is, like it has some profound meaning. Finally you blame a man who was helping another. "The choices he made." He choose to exercise his First and Second Amendment rights...rights proclaimed by the MAGA crowd as indispensable (especially the Second), and he choose to retreat from confrontation and help a fallen woman, turning his back on the ICE agents. Therefore he was to blame for being shot ten times,10 times, in the back, by two different individuals...who by the way will face no consequences...as they had to shoot him, it was their duty. Wonderful. ...... (and now I will proof read this post and possibility edit it) (Misspelled against again, but I fixed it)
What we have now, in relation to the Alex Pretti shooting, is many people defending groups of heavily armed masked men roaming our streets in unmarked cars, entering homes without judicial warrants (using warrants that they sign themselves), storming public schools (no private ones so far), using children as bait to capture their parents, asking for "papers" based on racial profiling or people's accents, arresting at gun point American citizens without probable cause (they call it detaining), provoking peaceful demonstrators with cameras, shooting one American citizen in the face, and disarming one other citizen who was carrying a legal firearm and then shooting him in the back ten times. We don't know who these masked men are. They support these masked men and their behavior because they want illegal criminals off our streets. Because....the law. But at the same time they support the pardoning of 1,500 convicted criminal insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol to stop the peaceful transfer of power, using weapons such as clubs, flag poles, firearms (Taurus G2c 9 mm handgun, "a loaded handgun," "a loaded rifle," "a loaded shotgun," Guy Wesley Reffitt was carrying his gun), office furniture, riot shields, a tomahawk, bear spray, stun guns, baseball bats, batons, a hockey stick, several machetes, a crossbow with bolts, 11 mason jars containing a flammable liquid, etc., etc. and carrying flex cuffs to capture lawmakers........ all the while chanting "Hang Mike Pence". No problem. And who pardoned them? Well it seems it was a person convicted of 34 criminal felonies and criminal sexual abuse. In other words a convicted criminal has unleashed heavily armed unknown masked men to arrest without judicial warrants .......supposed criminals, while denying American citizens of their First, Second, and Fourth amendment rights; and executing at least two American citizens on public streets. Because...the law.
I have no idea what you are talking about. In this thread there has been one post deleted: This message by Eric! has been removed from public view. Deleted by Eric!, Tuesday at 2:57 PM. You'll have to reference any other thread you are talking about.
However I do see that you have been warned by another moderator not to argue with moderators and I did warn you about calling Tishomingo a "Circle Jerk" and I deleted that term from your post on Dec 21, 2024. Racist xenophobic drivel. 74.2% of the human beings captured by ICE have no criminal record, and immigrants are 60% less likely to be convicted of crimes than U.S.-born Americans (and 90% of those were for immigration violations, which are administrative, not criminal violations). Immigrants are arrested at less than half the rate of U.S.-born citizens for violent and drug crimes and 25% of the rate of the U.S.-born for property crimes. Contrary to the racist propaganda being spewed by the current regime and boot-lickers like yourself, increases in the undocumented immigrant population is demonstrably associated with significant decreases in the prevalence of violence...not counting that perpetrated by the ICE Gestapo of course. The whole “racist” label is nothing more than a tool with which to shut down debate and summarily dismiss the opposing view. It has no valid meaning anymore since it was redefined to be something that only “white” people can be guilty of. The left “jumped the shark” with that bullshit and lost all credibility. Furthermore, in the ignorance and inexperience of youth it is easy to accept and embrace the ideal that all people are equal. Time and exposure, and even minimal pattern recognition abilities, will prove that ideal, however noble, to be a delusion. As to your citation; there is so much money tied up in the immigration industry that, much like any other issue, you can find studies and data to prove whatever you want. “More doctors smoke Camels than any other cigarette.” But let’s assume the study you cited was true: I don’t care. They came here ILLEGALLY. Their presence drives up the price of basic necessities of life for everyone and suppress wages for the worst off of our own citizens. In some cases, they bring with them a culture of corruption and extreme tribalism/clannishness that is antithetical with modern western civilization. We have a legal process to enter and stay in this country. The rules and quantity can be adjusted via the legislative process. These aliens, and the people who facilitate them, chose to enter and/or stay here illegally. We owe them no quarter.
The last time we treated Fascism with deference and respect, extending it the courtesy of just another equally valid philosophy in the panoply of ideas, 60 million people were killed. Fuck that. No, The Left Doesn't Have to Tolerate Your Bigotry
Yup. Same with the “fascist” label. We’re not fascists and, even if we were, we don’t care anymore. It’s no longer the verbal kryptonite that would once make good men cower. We’ve seen you pull that card from your sleeve too many times. Enough of us have read, and many have at least heard of, alinsky’s “rules for radicals.” We know and recognize your techniques. Go ahead and recite all of the various labels and other magic words that have worked for you in the past. They no longer have any effect on men of the west.
I am certain that the British Government felt the same way about the Stamp Act fight in Massachusetts in 1775. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu has referenced this fight in statements concerning Immigration Enforcement. Throwing off that earnest vibe She's mastered. A terrible situation all around. The Massachusetts Colonials had an envious position of no British taxes. Minnesota gets its immigrant welfare funded by the Feds. The entire body public is vested in the advantages of these systems and is ready to fight outsiders who threaten it. Partisans of either side, may exclaim, "Liberty!" or "Human Compassion!" but financial concerns anchor the opinions of the rebels.
Fascism is a movement or political entity that promotes nationalism, race, a leader who is above the law, and violent suppression of opposition. Fascism in the United States has a long history beginning in1865 with the formation of the fascist KKK. There were and are other fascists and movements in the U.S. such as Father Charles Coughlin, the Black Legion, the Friends of New Germany, the German American Bund, the American Nazi Party, the National Alliance, and White Aryan Resistance, the National Socialist Movement (not really socialists), the Atomwaffen Division, the Patriot Front, the Aryan Freedom Network, and the Proud Boys. Recently we see many historians, political scientists, and others becoming increasingly alarmed at Donald Trump's fascist tendencies such as his nationalism, violence, and racism. Many point to his support of the Proud Boys, his Jan. 6 attack on the peaceful transfer of power, the execution of two American citizens on our public streets, his recent racist posting of former President Obama and his wife as monkeys, his threat to take over national elections, and the Supreme Court ruling that he is above the law and can't be prosecuted for any action while in office. Not to mention he's suing his own government for $10 billion dollars, which he said he’s supposed to “work out a settlement with myself,” Which the U.S. taxpayers will then have to pay to him. He are a few pictures of other individuals who didn't care if you called them fascists: In my family my father, four uncles, an aunt, two of my father's cousins and a great uncle all fought against the fascists in WWII. They were ANTIFA. We don't think too highly of fascists.
That’s nice. I, and millions of others it would seem, have grown tired of open/unenforced borders for every western country with the exceptions of Israel and Ukraine. As for the history of ww2; woo-hoo. So what? Many of my ancestors were involved on our side as well. Some signed up before the US entered to fight under the British flag. Many men sign up for supposedly noble ideals - instilled in them via propaganda. “Make the world safe for democracy” - my ass! The real reason for the conflict is never those given. History is written by the victors. The “good guys” always win and the “bad guys” always lose. And the reasons we went into any war are always defensive and noble and never aggressive or a false flag (to distract from failed new deal policies and use further debt financing to pump up industry and the economy for the war effort).
