I wore this to two protests now---the first one it was still a work in progress. People loved it. One fellow baby boomer said it brought tears to her eyes. Another one today said he'd pay me $100 to make one for him. I got a lot of questions on what kind of paint I used, and numerous people said, "Now I've got to make one!" So maybe this will come back! I didn't know if it would be a hit or not, but people loved it! Of course, it does make you more visible and a lot of people took pictures of it.
Reminds me of when I saw another hippie wearing a jacket similar. It was an Army jacket. I was at the Army Surplus store the next day. Worn that thing all winter. Then one day it just disappeared. Don't know what happened to it.
If you're married I can tell you what happened to it. I had a blue jean jacket that I had embroidered some kind of sunrise scene on the back that got caught in the chain of one of my motorcycles one day so it had multiple holes and rips up and down the back. I wore it everywhere and one day it disappeared......
No, it was gone before marriage. I believe a former roommate took it. It was pretty ragged by then. Had it for 6, 7, years. But the huge peace symbol sewn on the back was the best part.
