These are pictures of my best friend and beloved poochie Bonny who was killed on monday night by a ski-doo that was racing down our road. She was a good dog and was deeply loved by our family, we miss her very much. The guy could't even knock at my door to tell us what had happened. I just want to say cherish your pets and cherish all life people.
Sorry for your loss We need another and wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals. Remote from universal nature and living by complicated artifice. Man in civilization surveys the creatures through the glass of his knowledge and sees thereby a feather magnified and the whole image in distortion. We patronize them for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err, and greatly err, for the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings, they are nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and times, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth. Henry Beston hotwater
I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. I just left you a message in your gallery before I read this post. My heart goes out to you. I am too grieving the loss of my dog. I had to put my dog to sleep Friday night. He was 7 years old and had a horrible case of cancer. We didn't know it until Friday night. I was faced with a decision that has broken my heart. I miss him so much. He was a perfect dog. If you would like to talk pm me any time. I also have my own forum Beyond Blue and there are some poems in there (only 2) about Dogs. I've found a few good support sites to help with this lonely adjustment. Here is a picture of my Buddy:
