Trump not facing re-election is a factor.

Iran is already attacking many other countries in the region, and has repeatedly proclaimed its intention to annihilate Israel. The threat from them is real. Destroying the IRGC would do a big favor for the region. The problem is Trumpo the Clown is evil and incompetent. Removing him from office would do a big favor for the world.

Yep. Well, as I said, Trumpo the Clown is evil and incompetent and I stand by that assessment.

I didn't deliberately not mention any specific group. I'm not sure which one you may be referring to but I'd like to know.

Exclusive! Iran retaliation on Gulf countries oil facilities.

I've been keeping my eyes on the situation in the Persian Gulf, specifically looking for fires as the result of attacks on oil installations since the war began.

They're not informing the world of the extent that the Gulf countries, including Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE are all under attack by Iran.

At first the focus was on the heavily defended US bases in the region. Now it's on everyone's less defended oil.

Of course the US is doing the same to Iran, including creating the environmental disaster in Tehran by blowing up the refinery and storage tanks just south of the city.

What all this means for future oil prices and the price of everything else depending on oil remains to be seen. My prediction is oil prices will continue to rise the rest of the year, with shortages very likely.

Realize this was all part of the Republican and oil companys plan. Remove incentives for solar, wind and electric vehicles, get rid of messy environmental laws on oil and gas, then start a war in the Gulf to stop the oil flowing and watch the oil companies profits soar!!!

Just read that right-wing provacateur, Candance Owens has just called on all US soldiers to resign today!

She said: “If you are a US soldier, resign today, Trump has betrayed America. He lied to us about not starting wars, and now we’re in one with Iran. This is not what we voted for.

I was thinking about this specifically last night. It's well reported in the UK about the other countries in the middle east that are affected.
Anyway, I was thinking that the oil price will rise and it will sustain at that high price for quite some time. There have already been warnings that unless the bombing stops (both sides) the world economy could collapse.
I reckon the bombing of Iran's oil fields makes them need other ME countries's oil so they might stop bombing it.
Regardless, with oil and gas prices going to rise further, I thought that's enough incentive for us to move to solar for both house electricity and heating as well as a EV. It's less than £20k. to set it up (car extra) and no power costs thereafter. It's an incentive of sorts.

I wonder too, what effect it may have on Russia, considering Iran was one of their suppliers.

The only thing Iran supplied Russia with is drones for its war with Ukraine. Russia now makes its own versions of shaheds.

Meanwhile ALL THE MIDEAST Oil processing facilities are being hit, with the exception being Saudi Arabia, which was hit the first day but not much since. Iran fears they might enter the war too.

It will take months to restore oil facilities if hostilities were to stop now. If it continues there could be oil shortages for as long as the war goes on.

It looks like Iran took out nearly all the US radar systems in the Gulf countries with direct hits.

This includes the most sophisticated and expensive systems used to defend the US airbases in the region.

If this is what winning is like, get ready cause the war is going to be a long one.

lol. The Amish. I was absolutely talking about the Amish. Was that not obvious? This war is clearly all for their benefit only. They’ve got the real dirt on trump. Not actual videos, mind you, since that would be against their religious beliefs. But they took copious notes of everything they saw him do. If he doesn’t destroy every country they tell him to, they will mail handwritten copies of those notes to every household in America! It will bring down the whole system!

Dis guy has quite the sense of humor. We all know it's the Quakers ruling the planet, ever since Nixon, not the Amish.

The Quakers are in cahoots with the Dalai Lama to control the minds of world leaders using Tom Cruise and Scientology as a front.

Meanwhile back on the Mideastern front all is quiet. Nothing to see. Change the subject.

Ok... The Epstein Files. When will Trump be held accountable?

Oh yeah, the quakers too! They’re the next ones we need to put against the wall. They act all quiet and thoughtful; kind and peaceful and shit like that. “But I know what’s really going on, Stuart. I know it’s the [quakers], they’re in it with the aliens.”

The U.S. is threatening to drop it's biggest bomb on Iran. B-52's are being loaded with millions of DVDs of "Melania".

Meanwhile, it turns out that US electronic defenses in the Middle East are helpless against the endless onslaught of drones and missiles from Iran.

    Why?

Well it turns out that Russia is providing the targeting info on the current locations of all US assets in the Mid East with satellite images, and the Chinese are providing Iran with secure satellite location tracking for their munitions. This new system is resistant to GPS jamming used by the US and others

Until the US develops new systems to counter the Chinese system, they must rely on expensive Patriot missiles or THAAD interceptors which cost millions, or cheap Ukrainian drone interceptors or new laser based systems and lastly shotguns as the Ukrainians are forced to use without US support in a year!

A concise, non-ideological framework for how currency stabilization could serve as a constructive pathway back to dialogue with Iran

This approach focuses on technical and economic levers that respect Iran’s sovereignty while reducing regional tensions.

Iran’s current currency instability is rooted in a structural financing problem. Sanctions have sharply limited Iran’s access to external borrowing, foreign investment, and stable export revenue. As a result, the government has increasingly relied on domestic borrowing routed through state-controlled banks and, ultimately, on Central Bank financing. This process expands the money supply without corresponding economic output, contributing to persistent inflation and currency dilution. Iran’s leadership is acutely aware of the political and social risks associated with this dynamic.

Despite these pressures, Iran cannot publicly request economic assistance without incurring domestic political costs. However, currency stabilization is one area where the leadership is both motivated and able to engage, provided the cooperation is framed as technical rather than ideological. This creates a rare opportunity for constructive engagement.

A de-escalatory posture that avoids any implication of regime interference helps reduce Iran’s sense of existential threat. When Iran does not feel cornered or humiliated, it becomes more predictable and less reactive. A mutual scale-back in posture, framed as a truce rather than a concession, can create the necessary space for further engagement.

Currency stabilization mechanisms can then be introduced as part of a broader effort to normalize regional economic activity. Potential areas of cooperation include regional settlement mechanisms, energy-for-currency swaps, humanitarian banking channels, and structured access to trade corridors. These measures preserve Iranian dignity while addressing a critical source of internal instability.

By reducing internal economic pressure, Iran has less incentive to escalate externally. Economic breathing room creates a safer environment for renewed dialogue and lowers the risk of miscalculation. This approach aligns with regional stability goals while respecting Iran’s red lines and avoiding actions that could be interpreted as interference.

In summary, currency stabilization offers a non-ideological, dignity-preserving, and strategically effective means to encourage Iran back into dialogue. It provides a technical pathway that addresses Iran’s internal pressures while supporting broader regional de-escalation.
