Protestors need to swarm airports now.

Create such a swarm, so much congestion, that it backs up air travel to a stand still. Face the ICE gestapo thugs head on, so they cannot make their Nazi demands----"Zeigen sie mir ihre papiere!" (Show me your papers!) Create a crowd such that they cannot move through the airport!

Bring air travel to a standstill so that it hurts the airline industry. So that Americans become angry!

Show that orange turd that sits in the White House, that he cannot get away with this s#%t!

There are countries that understand the threat of fascism and many of their population would have done this already! But stupid Americans, a third of who still gladly support the end of their freedom and democracy, are too damn comfortable in their ignorance to achieve this.

And thus, we may never save our liberty, our freedom, our justice, and our democracy.

History tells us, there are only two chances one has to stop a fascist dictatorship----2 chances when it is weak enough to pull down----at the beginning of its takeover, and at the end when it is collapsing. In between there tends to be many years of oppressive struggle and massive suffering of the people. Every step, such as this one with ICE walking through airports, is a step into further normalization of fascism, and the cementing of power. The early stages are quickly passing by!

Damn you Americans who sit idle and watch your TV's as your freedoms crumble before you!

 

I think that's already what is happening. You would just wait in line to harass them. Plus encouraging people to interfere with ICE is apparently a thought crime now. Beware.

Every American needs to realize we are no longer living in a democracy. The old rules don't apply unless you're a billionaire or you're fucking one.

 

It may be too late to stop the rise of fascism in America. Trump is just the instrument put in place to spearhead the takeover. A beachhead has already been created. The Nazi rise to power was fuelled by overt nationalism and singling out scapegoats for Germany's fallen status and economic woes.
Of course the cost of losing WW1 created the template to build from. The US is a falling empire and historically falling empires lash out while they crumble from within. America has been crumbling for decades. Thus the template for Trump and his backers to build from was already there. Make America Great Again sounds a lot like something from a Hitler oration. Nationalistic soundbite.
Hitler used the Jews, the Communists, the Gypsies and everyone who didn't have the true Aryan blood as the scapegoats. He was on a mission to make Germany great again at the expense of the rest of the World. Who is Trump not attacking? What countries are allied to his cause? Make a list of his scapegoats for America's woes. Unless he and his cronies aren't taken down soon the opportunity may well be lost. There may not be another election to give the sound minded a chance to change the guard. Remember how Hitler abolished the German government by gradually changing all the rules of play. The similarities between Hitler and the rise of the Nazis and what is happening in America are multiplying. I think a lot of Germans didn't truly realise what making Germany great again would become until it was too late.

 

Yes, that is 100% correct. We can always hope that there are other factors that will make it harder for MAGA to cement control as quickly as Hitler did---the cultural ideal of the rugged individual that is so intimately a part of American culture, or the potential early death of Trump which could potentially defuse his cult following and and thwart his succession before the Far Right power is secured, or that mid term elections actually do happen and are not rigged, and that it does make a difference. However these are only hopes, and there are little guarantees towards them. More than anything else, Americans need to stand up in incredibly large numbers and be willing to sacrifice themselves in the process. And time is quickly passing, when even that will be assured of having effect.

I don't have much hope for that, really. The younger generations generally just escape to alternative realities on XBox and Playstation rather than face the reality of what is happening in this reality to this country.

 

I really do fear for you guys. It beggars belief that so many of your citizens are not seeing what is happening. Dangerous, dangerous times. I am a firm believer in stand up and be counted. Apathy is not acceptable. Sometimes we have to be brave in the face of government decisions and make our collective voice heard.

 

Don't fly often but imagining that it would be easy to get arrested at an airport if one is interfering with its operation; Esp. in a red state. Please be careful. We have seen that taunting these people can have bad outcomes.

 

Yes, that is very true. But it is very hard to arrest a massive swarm of people. It will take a massive swarm of people to stop the downfall of democracy. But the very people we really need to take action, are the ones who are at home playing games on their PlayStations.

The attempted take over of South Korea's democracy lasted barely six hours because the people there knew the risks. They showed up enmasse to save their country. We have had very many South Korea-like episodes of Fascist takeover, where American people should have stood up together because it was another step in destroying our nation's democracy and freedom. From the DOGE firings of government employees, to the very first employments of ICE and the National Guard under Trump. But Americans failed to stand up.

If this country had any political sophistication, we would have all showed up for every step that was pulled right out of Project 2025. They literally told us, step by step, how they were going to destroy our democracy, and everybody shrugged their shoulders! And all the racists said, 'But the immigrants comin' across our border!' Each step they succeed in achieving, makes it all that harder for us to save this country!

How do we know this? Because this is exactly what happens under authoritarian governments! Needless to say, we will all struggle under economic hardship. Just as NO business has done well under the leadership of Trump, NO economy has ever thrived under authoritarianism!

Every day that passes, the structures of oppression and fascist enforcement grow stronger. Today we risk being arrested for trying to speak up. Tomorrow we will risk being arrested because of a miscarried baby, or reposting a meme, or because our neighbor or even a stranger told a lie about us, or because an accident happened, or something broke at our workplace. Every single one of us will be under constant surveillance and the slightest misstep could put us in prison. Its not hard to learn about how horrible life is under a dictator. There is so much written about it. And if you read that and think, oh that could never happen here, then read another book about another dictatorship! Read until you understand that----those horrible things, they are not unique to Nazi Germany, or the Soviet Union, or Pinochet's Chile----they happen in every single dictatorship!
