*lol* Yeah, and if you're running Lavasoft Ad-Watch you have to turn it off. I looked for Anti-Online's security scan (where they had someone actually hack at your comp manually), but I guess they no longer offer that service.
Internet Terrorism ... After installing Microsoft's AntiSpyware (MAS) on my Windows 2000 Server (with SP2, McAffee VirusScan ASAP, and a Firewall), it found a remote control app in my WinNT directory called Slave.exe. After MAS deleted this file I could no longer operate the computer at the Windows level. I had to run applications at the DOS level running COMMAND (not CMD). After contacting Microsoft to request help on how to restore my OS to a normal state, their reply was to reinstall the OS. Which meant that I would have to reinstall my E-Mail Server and SQL Server. It took me an entire week to reinstall the OS (6 installs) before I actually unplugged it from the DSL Modem. Two days of these installs, Wednesday evening and Friday evening I reinstalled the OS two times ... Friday evening being the last time. While the computer was still hooked up to the DSL Modem, the moment my OS was installed, before I could even have a chance to log in for the first time and get the Firewall up and running, Spyware and Virus' were being installed on the computer. Wednesday even before installing it for the second time, I ran MAS and found 2,000 spyware apps on my computer ... all in less than 30 minutes. Internet Terrorism ... Darrell
I wouldn't recommend being connected to the internet while you are completely vulnerable. Try to backup your security programs and then install them after you've installed your OS. Then connect to the internet once your system has been secured.
