Former Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch told MTV.com that he cannot envision ever returning to the band that he co-founded thirteen years ago. Welch said, "If I went back, that would confuse my kid. I don't ever see myself going back. I'm not going to change. I finally was able to stand up for myself and quit being addicted to money. I don't want to pollute the world anymore. I want to spread a message of love and understanding, and that's what I'm going to do." Welch officially departed from Korn last month, saying that he wanted to devote his life to Christianity and become a better role model for his 6-year-old daughter. Welch plans to write and record as a solo artist and says his material will reflect his spirituality: "My music is going to have a Christian, spiritual edge to it, for sure...I have a song called 'Kry,' which I feel is like God talking to me. I mean, it's not heavy Christian music. It's just a reflection of how I feel now. It's about life experiences. It's happy, uplifting, fairy tale music." The guitarist adds that, in addition to his own original tunes, he plans to record a cover of U2's "With Or Without You." Welch says he wants to use any money he makes in the future from his music to "build skate parks for kids," and also plans to create his own reality TV show. The guitarist was baptized on Saturday (March 5) in Israel's Jordan River, along with about 20 other newly converted Christians from the Valley Bible Fellowship in Bakersfield, California. According to the Bible, the Jordan is where John the Baptist baptized Jesus Christ. that sucks ass. they r so good.
he lives here. they all live here or lived here, i think that two of them still have houses here, welch being one of them. hmmmmm though i dont think really that they like live here for reals, i mean they probably have other houses. I know that the church Welch goes to is here, and that it was HELLA packed a couple of Sundays ago when he was there talking about his decision to quit the band and why he did it. welch though i know lives here for reals. I have to give him a lot of credit and I admire him for doing what he is doing.
anyway why christian? LoL, people still think a book is more powerful than their own mind, but he is going the right way now. Why 'parks' though? I'd build shelters if things were my way
