What's your favourite beach/es in Australia and why? Hard question I know as they are all so beautiful, they are hard to choose between!

My choice would have to be Noah Beach in the Daintree Rainforest, because there is nothing but coconut trees between your campsite and the most amazing pristine beach and the great barrier reef is just offshore. Best time of year is definately during winter.

I was going to say I grew up in Port Macquarie after reading Bedlam's post about woolgoolga as it's not too far away.

Yeah you get that but there has been some great talent come out of Port. My fave beach there is Nobby's and there is also a nudist beach which is called Miner's, which is a fave of my boyfriends when he's home visiting with me! Another really nice one is North Shore, it's about 30kms long and runs all the way the Point Plummer where there is a cool place to camp right on the beach.

:) It seems no matter how far I travel I can still pick a beach in port if described to me. The one near the "harbour" is Town's Beach and the one at the "other end" is Lighthouse Beach. The beach Retro_Grrl described sounds like Flynns Beach, ahh yes, good ol' days at Flynny's I do remember well!
