anyone know... about lexapro?

yah i just got on lexapro... I was wondering if it fucks you up when you take it, because i am trying to stay away from that stuff so if it does then i can ask my doctor to prescribe me to something else??

Why would you ask a bunch of random people on hipforums instead of your doctor? Sure you don't have to use that exact language. Anyways, lexapro is an anti-depressant. Anti depressants don't get you high.

I've been on it for about 10 months now (20mg). Haven't had any problems.

 

no it's wonderful but it's an anti anxiety drug so if you're lazy by nature it can make you tired.

 

I was prescribed lexapro last year as an anti-stress medication to prevent myself from having panic attacks. On that part it worked but I also seemed to lose a part of myself as in I didn't feel much anymore, i didn't write poetry hardly at all and definitely not in the way that i had before, it made me worse off than i was without it, everything that happened felt indifferent to me, my best friend could have died and i would have done no more than shrug it off as a fly on my plate. A year later I have found myself becoming somewhat addicted to it. I quit taking it about 3 months after i was prescribed lexapro last year and now i take it every once in a while to see the world in a different view. It also causes my tolerance of MJ to change as in my highs last loads longer than usual. This past weekend I took about 50 mg in one setting and had some of the most vivid hallucinations i have ever had the opportunity to witness from any other drug.

Moral of the Story: STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM THAT SHIT UNLESS YOU FEEL THAT IT WILL HELP YOU IN SOME EXTREME WAY.
