I'm usually a rather hesitant/skeptical when I come upon these "oh, gotta see this" vids of someone playing... but I think you'll really dig this. This dude has an amazing two hand technique, one you don't often see. Gives one an appreciation for the endless possibilities for 6-string electric. It's well worth the download to check it out (yah, even on dial-up): http://www.bobzabek.com/VIDEOS/WalkOnWaterHP.wmv http://www.bobzabek.com/VIDEOS/JourneyOftheButterfly.wmv No, it isn't me playing. Enjoy. ~7
Hmm... seems to have mastered the technique... and on an ibanez, too. Hmm... still doesn't beat the things I've seen Tommy Emmanuel pull, in my book. But damn, the first video is some awesome jazzzzzz... I love it.
Never really hear eddie do much jazzy stuff. Nice way to blend genres, though, every time I see any shredder/speedmetal guitarists, I have to wonder what if would be like with them playing an acoustic, instead. Though, why I always seem to throw Tommy Emmanuel's name in the hat is that the few people who have seen him play electric say he's better than Eric Johnson is, but he doesn't care to play electric and his inspirtation is Chet Atkins.
fantastic stuff =D he has definitely mastered two-handed tech - some of those hammered notes sound picked, he's that prominent. apart from that, not much comment aside from the general coolness of it ^_^
on the first one it took a bit until it hooked me, i didnt like the initial sound much but when he got into it it was fuckin awesome this dude is awesome! and yet never heard of his before though some of his ideas dont glide through eachother that well if you know what i mean. he should try n write a pop song lol
Preston Reed does better.. But on an acoustic. http://homespun.powerusermedia.com/Homespun_Tapes/VD-PRE-GT01_Guitar2.wmv Check that out.
