i had a keychain of a bullet, which had lost its slug leaving only the shell. they insisted on taking it from me, which i didnt really care about i just dont see how it could be any kind of threat
fuck safety. They never had it in the past. Look at all the older people. they might be missing a couple of fingers or a limb, but dammit, theyre alot smarter. we just get a shitload of regulations and stufff. if someone really wants to hijack a plane, i dont think those stupid regulations are gonna stop them. They'll just have to be a little bit more creative about it. i mean, they used a box cutter for 911, wouldnt broken glass do the same thing? Theres no way in hell they could forbid glass on a plane. if you wanted to take a hostage, just grab them up and instead of pointing a knife at their throat, just threaten to snap their neck. or you could introduce some sort of biological agent on the plane. all this safety crap is just that. crap. it inconveniences us. Say i want to buy my lumberjack relative a chainsaw for christmas or something. i couldnt take it. id have to ups it.. fuck it. ill shutup now
A lot of those items can go in your checked luggage, as long as you are up-front about it and don't lie.
and notice the little bottles of booze they serve are plastic where at the liquor store they're glass.
They won't let you take empty soda cans on, either. Last summer, my friend flew from Italy to Boston I think with a lighter, and they didn't take it away from her.
