so we've had a couple bikes sitting at the side of our house...

for about a year. they're pretty nice bikes. but we have NO IDEA who they belong to. we asked the boys that we rented rooms to if they were their's, but they said no. well, they just sat there forever, so we moved them to our back yard, so they won't be stolen. they're not our neighbor's, either. what the hell?

 

Start riding them. Maybe someone in the neighborhood will recognize them.

 

since they've been out by the side of your house for a year, i would say just take as being yours. were they locked up? if not, then i would assume that nobody wanted them anymore and just picked your house to leave them. so i would either use them since there nice bikes, sell them, or you could try to find the owner by putting ads in a local paper or something for a couple weeks. but if the ads don't work, then i would keep the bikes or just sell them.

 

yeah, i'm going to have to place an ad. they weren't locked up, just sitting there. i guess at this point it wouldn't matter who came to take them. i'd have to not place a description, just the location, so that people can't just go "hey, free bikes!"

but isn't that just odd? they're probably stolen.

They could be stolen and someone dumped them there to frame you...just like on Law and Order!

 

it's so funny, that's pretty much what i figure. i'm such a happy pessimist. i just assume the worst of everyone and every situation. so that when things turn out good, i'm so freaking excited and happy.

 

maybe they are cursed like that gold on the pirates of the caribean movie.....dont throw them in the ocean!!!!!
