Hey Do you listen to world music? What's you favourite style or song? I'm looking forward to your replies, maybe it becomes something like a musical journey around the globe that would be sooooooooooooo cool love erol
Yeah, I'm also puzzled by this term, but I guess it refers to folk music, more or less. I enjoy 'Balkan-style' folk music the best, especially Macedonian. It has a very characteristic 'irregular' beat. Anastasia is a fantastic group of musicians, most known for their soundtrack to the Oscar-nominated film Before the Rain. This album is widely available, but if anybody would like a sample...well, let me know. peace, -Pat
yeah, I'm refering to folk music but also to seome newer music which is rooted in folk music. I really love indian music but I only have "West meets East" by Ravi Shankar and Yehudi Menuhin, it's a grat record but I'm looking for something with voacals. Do you know some good indian music, with nice instrumentations and beautiful vocals?? The only folk music ( and classical) I really know is turkish, some persian and some arabic. I really love that kind of music. If you want to know some just ask Love
