Last night I dreamed that I had crossed the wrong people, and they took me out in a boat, way out to sea, and dropped me into the water to drown, and took off in the boat without me.

For some reason my brother was there, and I was facing away from him and tearfully said to him that I loved him, and to tell everyone else (my family) that I loved them too.

Then I was able to some how look under the water, and realized that it was shallow enough that I could stand up on the sandy bottom! And then I saw a shark down below me to the right, but then somehow the shark turned out to be, like, a moderate sized dog, like a year-old black lab! But it was vicious, like a shark, and I was soon wrestling with it (presumably underwater but it didn't make sense 'cause I could breathe). So in order to kill it and stop it from attacking me, I took out a folding knife, which was really similar to my Benchmade "Dark Star," and stabbed it slowly right into its chest, and I knew I had reached its heart because it suddenly just gave up fighting.

    It was kinda sad.

Water connotes your emotional state. The dog is your friend. The boat may be a situation which you will drawn into or which you will initiate. Your stabbing your friend and your feeling bad means that you will probably do an injustice to your friend, or a close friend will turn on you (most probably the latter).

Meaning of the dream: you will probably be losing a friend in the near future. Now that you know that - what are you going to do about it?

I don't see ANY of that in the dream, and I'm the one who had it, and still has the lingering emotional residue of it to feel.

I wouldn't say I know why I had it and what it or its parts meant. I just know that after killing the dog, I just felt bad for having had to kill a dog.

umm this might not be it but,

maybe things that will happen will "force" (them taking you out in the boat and dropping you off) you to go in yourself, (pay attention to yourself, in the water) then after struggling with the water, youll realize it isnt that important (its shallow to pay attention to it, ha) so you stand up, then have something else to fight, but you have to completely kill it, and youll never go back, youre happy that you were there/it was there, but you have to let it go

oh yeah and the family part is about saying bye and being sorry that they might not understand.

    its just a guess:D

You'll just have to wait and see what happens. Report back after it happens. I stand by what I said - the dog is a friend. You will sink down to the ocean of dispair - you will be depressed but you will perservere. The shark represents danger. Guard well your fiances - do not put them at risk; be wary of scams and ruthless business associates.

and one thing I can do is dream. I will not presume that I can interpret, but having had a keen interest in dreams for many years, I studied the matter in depth. One interesting thing I found by acident. I checked out a library book on heraldry, and discovered that for most of my life I had been dreaming in common heraldric symbols. In heraldry, for example, the color black represents death, but also evil. One of the very first books I ever read was the book of Daniel in the Bible - obviously because we shared the same name. Over the years, I've picked up clues about dreaming from the Bible - which is a book that is chock full of symbols that are commonly held. In Biblical symbolism, the sea represents people: the masses. I would like to suggest that your dream might have some personal spiritual implications worth further investigation.:)
