A bit of a difficult task this one, Keramptha! Now, let's see:
Flobalob is a little concoction, but it's not mine. It's from something called Mr.Blobby; some irritating human excrement from the 90's on British TV. It was something to do with a great British phenomenon known as Noel Edmonds. The reason he was a mystery was that no one out of the 50+ million population knew why the fuck he was on TV! But perhaps the answer lies in that: what do you expect from TV? Anyways, we were talking about invented words and since I am not the inventor of that one I'll have to come up with another one. Since the English language is heavily subsidised by Greek, I would like to make an addition to the dictionary with the word:

XYSOPAPARIAS: (n.) Someone who scratches their nuts(slang) all day, ie. scrotum, testes, balls(slang), cojones(Sp.). Also look up: George Bush Jnr. for a clearer definition of the term.

The term flobalob is actually related to one of the first children's programs shown on British TV and has nothing to do with Mr.Blobby, or Mr.Edmonds. Flobalob and its variations, ie. flobalobalob are in fact attributed to Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men. I would like to apologize to Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men and their friend Weed for any grievance caused by this particular error.

When I'm doing "vomit writing", I really do take liberties with the English language. But when I'm writing for real I try and reign it in a bit, because anyone can just talk gibberish.

    The ones I made up:

    bystandard
    ectyped
    bilerex
sussur (as a verb, I think it's a real noun)

and various other slightly more etymologically sound ones, e.g. thanatocracy: a soceity ruled by the dead.

Confuddled is one I'm particuarlly proud of. You're not quite confused, but you're a little past being muddled. You're confuddled.

...I've actually begun to use this in every-day speak, which causes odd looks from other people.

Hunter Thompson speaks of these in the book that I'm reading of his. One of his favorites, he says, is 'atavistic endeavor'. I'm not sure exactly what it means..but it sounds cool. :D

I know there's a thread about made-up words, but what about phrases that you as a writer are particularly proud of?
