has anyone read this? I think young people especially yougn girls should all read it some time in highschool like at the start of highschool its a girl diarys its reel she was a real perosn in the 60's and they dont actualy say it but u assume shes a hippy. Its about drugs and as they say in tehstart it doesnt provide insite or answers or watever but it does teech u some lessons i think it teeches mainly about smart drug use just something that should be read. if u liek it i recomend the perks of being a wallflower coz thats my favourite book and the virgin suicides is pretty good o n nehintg my michael moore ill reed ! all that stuff! o n for any australians- not happy john, the chaser annual (SO FUNNY!!) and griffith university'sthe lure of fundamentalism are reeely good
i've read it..It's an okay book...not the best i've read, but still pretty entertaining.. It actually wasn't about a real person.. Well maybe it was BASED on a real person, but it wasn't her actual diary. And I never even thought of her as a hippie when I read it..at all. If you think of her life before and between the drugs, she's definitely not one. But I guess it's all up to your imagination.
i read that book and i thought it was good. I didn't think of her as a hippie though. She was pretty much just a druggie but the story is good anyways.
Who cares if its she wasnt a hippie or didnt live in the 60's. I think it is based on a true story though, but that doesnt matter. I've read it, it made me cry.
If your looking for a book about drugs, addiction, and a really entertaning read check out Hubert Selby Jr. - Requiem for a dream (5 out of 5).
I remember my freshman year of highschool we had to do book reports in english and almost everyone seemed to do it on this book. The teacher was really annoyed. I think the book is pretty good.
sad peice of trash. fictional, too. worst ending EVER, i fucking hated it. it was written by beatrice sparks, not "anonymous" and definitely not some hippie girl. it's a fake diary. you can even tell if you pay close attention. do some research...
Never read go ask alice. But I LOVE The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. Excellent book. I havnt thought aboutin years. Thanks for the reminder. reading that
