I visited X'ian China while on vacation in November 2001.
What impressed me was the Fortified Walls surrounding the City and the Terra Cotta Warriors. Both sites were unbelievable.
Here in the United States, buildings 250 years old are rare but can be found. Anything older than 350 years don't exist.
The top of the Walled defenses are huge. Large enough for 2 city buses to comfortably pass each other. I'll see if I can post a couple of pics.

They may be a bit fuzzy. What appears to be a boulevard after the gate is the top of the city wall.
In the first pic, for perspective, that is a person walking after the iron gate.
We were told, there are 3 more areas of Terra Cotta warriors currently under excavation.

are you kidding me. this is hippieland.... Peace and love man. We (hippies) do not discriminate against others bassed soly on race, color, religion, or national origion. Hippies share a love of anything and everuthing that shows Peace. The origional Ideals behind China's government are meant to establish Peace. Everyone working tgether and sharing everything equally. Comunism/Comune same root word. The answer is, yes you are very welcome here.

They are...Originally they were painted in natural colors. When the dirt was removed from around the statues, the paint came off as well. However some of the pigment remains. You can sort of guess what they must have looked like when they were initially made.
If I remember correctly, officials guess there may be been as many as 100,000 Terra Cotta warriors. So far they may have found several thousands.

This website has been around for several years now, and is only growing larger day by day.

    Mosade, welcome to our site.
I hope you are comfortable and happy here.
But in life, remember, we all must, at some time, be uncomfortable.
    :)
    Peace to you.
