Does anyone else make these for their yard?

I think they look great. I bought the molds a couple years ago, I just keep reusing them. There's a beach near where I live where I go to collect smoothed out pieces of washed-up glass (how good for the environment is that?!)... I can usually come home with a yogurt container full... I buy a box of cement and fill the mold, and make my designs from the glass.

They're so pretty to decorate the garden with... it adds colour to it, and they're subtil also!

I make them too. I do stained glass so I use stained glass in mine. I will attatch a pic of my favorite one I made. It is a leaf man. Sorry about the glare! This one stays in the house. I worked way too hard on it to have it crack from the elements ;)

That looks awesome! I feel so much less talented now...I don't think I could ever do that. :( I could break the glass! :D

hmm I am not really sure how long it took me. I have studio time at a glass shop for about 3 hours a week. It took me at least a month so about 12 hours. That is a guess I made that one a year ago.

    Thanks for the kynd words!!

Wow! That leaf man is beautiful! I can see why you don't want it outside!

I've made more for this summer... a few folks have walked through my garden and loved my old stepping stones... the couple who moved into our old house asked for the 5 that were already in the garden, and I gladly left them for her. I have 6 on the dry right now... they're going out as Ostara gifts.

i got a huge box of colourful glass from my boyfriend for christmas, and had no clue what to do with it. This sounds like a super sweet idea. How-to though?
