I'm looking for good people to start intentional community in Croatia. I see it as egalitarian community no matter of race, nationality, sex, religion or sexual orientation; organic farm based on permaculture with shared income. Agricultural land is low-priced here so now is opportunity to buy before we join European Community. Prices will jump high after that. Great. Sounds good. I'm planning to do something here in Finland maybe similar. I'm not sure about the intentionality though, what it means. Building a community, kind of spontaneity is also good.
Hey Diogenes Term "Intentional Community" means that all members of community are participating by their free will and conciously. IC can be commune, eco-village, co-op, co-housing, kibutz in Israel etc. I don't know what you mean by spontaneity, a lot of effort is involved in starting a community. IMO, once you have routine in motion, if relations and situation in community is OK, good word about it brings more potential members and visitors by itself.
