here's what i've been up to the last few days... (btw sorry for the tiny thumbnails. i tried posting the pics directly, but they turned out enormous and distorted. i sort of forgot how to post pictures.i'll have to keep working on it. anyway, you get the idea.) first of all, i made this maternity shirt for myself. i am generally pretty sewing retarded, so i was excited to see that it actually turned out cute, without one huge armhole or anything. lol. second of all, and don't stone me for this guys, but i sort of fake tye dyed these baby clothes. the last time i really tried to dye dye anything, i made a hell of a mess, and the clothes turned out well, questionable at best. anyway, i did these with that fabric dye that comes in a can like spray paint. it's pretty much idiot proof. i'm thinking i may print up some iron on transfers to make some teeny band shirts out of them.
that's adorable, and despite the tie dye in a can, the lil jumpers look SWEET!!! I want some when i have babies
I agree. Those dyes look really good. I always said when I have kids, they will be the phatest dressed kids in town The shirt is really cute too, that pattern is nice. What is it? or did you do it freesyle?
Very nice.... I love the shirt... The baby stuff game out great too.... I cant wait to make clothes for my kids
aww those look like the baby shirts I made, I made big mess tie-dyeing too oh well I found out Im gonna have a NEPHEW!!!!!! Bowen Cory Michael Miller
thanks for the compliments, guys. my hubby was largely unimpressed. he's not really a tye dye kinda guy, and said they were sorta girly. grr. our baby boy will be wearing them, at any rate. i did make some transfers today of bands that hubby likes, and ironed them on some baby clothes. he liked that much better. he's so wierd sometimes, lol. shine on, it was a butterick pattern. my sewing skills are rather primitive to try to do much freestyle. i'm amazed at some of the freestyle stuff some of the girls here do.
