Does anyone here know how to make them? I saw some pretty bead ones and wanted to make some.

i love them! they look so cool. you can make them really quickly out of some hemp and beads.....takes next to no time to whip them up. looking for info on macrame? you can google it and find a ton of cool, informative links or you could check out you local library. :D

Yeah hemp ones are really easy to make... Just put it on your toe and start knotting... I have several pairs that ive made and i love them... Although they did take me a little while to get used to wearing... :) .. You could probably make beaded ones with a bead loom (if you dont know how to stitch beads together) but im not sure about the type of thread youd use.. You would want something really strong...

good thread for holding the beads together would be fishing wire (nylon string) but you would want something softer for the bit around the toe :)

I made some SUPER simple ones once, I just used one single long strand of hemp, put one knot so it makes a big circle, then sting on two beads through both peices, then you can move the beads one towards the toe, and one towards the ankle to tighten and loosen. Yes! I gotta make me another set now, that was so long ago.

Thanks everyone. The beaded pair I saw were going for 35.99 a pair. I won't pay that much when I know I can make them myself.

I make them, and like everyone else said, they're really easy. Here;s some links to some sites that have good instructions and a couple of pictures to help you get your imagination going. I wish that I had a digital cam so that i could show you the ones that I made last night. They're so pretty!.............Not that I want to toot my own horn or anything. :)
