I just have to comment on the great articles on Hunter S. Thompson in this months issue of Rolling Stone.

They're all so heartfelt. There's a letter from his wife to Hunter about a week after it happened and an article from his son, Juan, along with many, many others and they capture his essence is a powerful way.

    Just thought I'd share! :p

yeah, he's on the cover and they have half the magazine devoted to him, as he was one of the personalities that started Rolling Stone to begin with.

tell me how you like it in a PM or something. It's cool to share the love of Thompson with another chick.

Very respectfully done Rolling Stone and friends. Thanks for sharing so much.

I like the bit about his realization of "Gonzo" journalism... sometimes you just need some feedback on your work. If it's passionate, how can it be wrong?

And the blurb he wrote for ESPN on 9/12/01 shows how completely in tune to the truth he really was.

It's was no surprise to finally get the details of his last months, days, minutes. He was obviously suffering, yet still had the sense to bring some hints of closure to those closest to him before "closing the book". It's just such a poetic ending.
