It scares me too ... I've been poisoned by two fast food restaurants (one of them Subway, and the culprit was a Veggie Sub), and a jar of salsa from the local quickie mart. Darrell
I watched the video but couldn't sit through it. This is disgusting. I've only once eaten at KFC and even if I hadn't stopped eating at fastfood chains at all I would certainly not eat at KFC anymore. I think that after the first bite, I'd think about the video again and barf all around the restaurant. Which is cool as well of course. Hm... now there's an idea.
While you're at it, go to Kroger and barf there too ... might as well barf in your own kitchen if your mom buys her chickens from Kroger. Or hadn't you been reading the rest of the posts in the thread? Kroger buys its chickens from Pilgrims Pride too !!! KFC does not own Pilgrims Pride, so Pilgrims Pride is not KFC. At least that is where the video was purported to have been taken at, Pilgrims Pride. Darrell
I live in Europe, we don't have Kroger here ("Kroger" does sound very disgusting for a chain of restaurants). It's not that I'd barf because this has made me hate KFC so much for buying at a certain producer of chicken meat, it's that I'd think about the video if I ate at KFC, which I found highly de-appetising.
This bothers me a bit. Do you realise the cruelty that goes into ANY meat you may be consuming, whether it be KFC or any other fast food chain? I gaurun-fucking-tee you that those burgers and chicken sandwiches you eat at mcdonalds or BK or ANYWHERE were not well maintained, humanely treated animals that where not born just for the purpose of being stuffed full of chemicals, fed to eachother, and killed by being hit across the head and put up on hooks while they are STILL ALIVE but unable to move because they are "stunned" and then being ripped apart by humans and put in grinders then packaged to meet our consumers needs. do you know that one burger contains more than 200 cows that are mixed together. sorry this isnt about burgers, its about chickens, but its the same thing, they are animals nonetheless and being treated inhumanely. so if your going to boycott KFC because of this "stunning" news from those freaks at PETA, i hope your boycotting every other fast food chain, krogers, ANYWHERE.. because almost any meat your going to buy was made just to be eaten, and certainly not treated like any living thing should be.
Obviously ALL meat you buy ANYWHERE was grown specifically for food...even that "organic" crap you shove down peoples' throats. It's not like Farmer Joe just walked out into pasture one day and found his beloved dead heffer and sold the corpse to Burger King. I couldn't care more or less about some animal's "feelings"; it's going to end up in my stomach one way or another, it should atleast taste delicious on it's way down.
i'm a meat eater too, but i know where its coming from. it just bothers me when people are surprised about shit like this and decide to Boycott it like its big news, that stuff happens everywhere, its a fact of life.
It'll be easy for me to boycott KFC, i never actuallly ate there. I do eat meat but i don't like fried , ultra-fat chicken like kfc does.
Exactly...homo sapien is an omivorous species. It's part of the cycle of life; unfortunately since we're at the top of the food chain people have this tendency to pity animals and give them "certain rights;" we climbed our way up here, and you know if dolphins could hold forks they'd be serving us on silver platters with a side of tartar sauce. I'm not going to boycott KFC for animal rights, but I'm not going to eat there as I'm not too fond of my butcher stomping his nasty, greasy feet all over my food before I eat it.
Well I am not a big PETA supporter but, I do agree with some of their views. I did not watch the video but, the description was more than enough for me. I will never by KFC Chicken again and while I am at it I’ll add Taco Bell to the list as well. As for Krugers, I never heard of them but I’ll be sure to stay away from them too.
I like those potato wedge things and biscuits at KFC, thats about it I think there chicken is pretty gross.
I hate peta and its methods in getting us all to become vegans..i apreciate that this video keeps me not eating meat..i don't have a problem with KFC but yeah this video is sick..It has only partly something to do with KFC they don't own the places that they buy the chikens from neither are they the only buyers of chikens .. so singling them out is prety wrong..If the main aim is to highlight the sick depraved treatment of animals thaen this is fair..Dragging KFC into it is not fair..Seems hypocritical of me i suppose .... just i don't think multi nationals should be the only target of 'hate'..
Haha, kind of funny about bringing up the treatment of chickens. I was having a conversation with a friend of mine who worked at a chicken farm. Trust me, it's not just KFC, its every chicken you've ever bought. Chickens spend their whole lives laying eggs. The lights in the coups are on for about 18 hours a day because chickens don't lay eggs when they're asleep. Dead chickens are processed to feed the living. They're sick, stressed, and in pain all the time. And they never see the outside of their cages their whole lives. They vomit frequently, and, apparently, so feverishly that it is not uncommon to see one vomit out its innards. When they get too sick to lay eggs, they're killed, processed, and packaged to be sent to the consumer. I couldn't eat chicken or eggs for about a week, but I got over it. Chicken tastes good. And the drop-kicking thing doesn't surprise me in the least, since only rednecks with no education would take a job like that. My friend did it for 2 days then quit. Good pay, but its one of the grossest things you'll ever do.
