Do you have to be of certain age to buy lighters from gas stations and shit?

 

I don't think there's a law about it but most places have a policy not to......

but most places dont give a shit, its just a lighter.
why would someone not sell something if it was legal? lol

ive never been stopped from buying a lgihter, only papers once, i think its caus i was stoned and annoying the shop dude

 

well maybe is australia i duno but here ive been stopped twice at two different gas stations but at this store at the mall called the tut hut they let you and that place has some really cool lighters

 

just go in and try man ...the worce they will do is not sell it to you

 

here in NY they won't sell you a lighter, but I think you can pick up matches.


I remember I was ALWAYS carded for a damn lighter before I turned 18 and I never was after I was 18. It pissed me off.

 

You can't buy a lighter till you're 18 here. And most places'll card ya.

yeah sum places say that the lighters are tobacco products an tobacco products are only to b sold to over 18's. but u can quite easily buy matches

18 in Connecticut... Same for matches.... I normally dont give teenages a hard time 'bout buying lighters at the gas station i work at.... Unless your a brat....

 

yea here u have to be 18 to buy any smokeing device or aid. lighters included

 

In LA, at someplace like a 7-11 they have the lighters behind the counter along with the cigs and nudie mags. But I can go to a regular corner liqour store and buy one.

 

They card me when I buy them, some places aren't as strict, though.
