    it starts 001161....... u can pretty much dial any number after that. there's only one telephone in australia and we all share it. a guy named Steve will answer.

    Yes, I do. And so I just let the machine get it whether I am there or not. Then I can decide later on if I can bear to speak to that person or not.

    That's exactly what I do. Unless I'm expecting a person to call and I KNOW it's them when the phone rings(via caller ID), I just let my voice mail pick it up. And if they don't leave a message, I figure it was nothing important and I don't bother to call them back.

    Using voice mail to screen your calls is grand! :)
