A few months ago a mate of mine left his digi-cam at my house then moved away. He told me to keep the camera but i forgot to ask what make and model the camera was and now ive lost contact with him so i cant fone him. Is there anywhere online i'll be able to identify this camera and get the required drivers for it so i can use it?

The brand name should be on the camera. Cannon, Lexmark, etc. Try that.

Theres no markings on the camera at all. I even looked where the batteries go.

Well, you can go online and look at an online store, then when you see the model you have, find the information for it.

If you're using XP, you shouldn't need any drivers. If you connect the camera via usb, windows should auto-detect it and launch the camera wizard.

If the camera won't auto-detect, try setting it up as a generic USB storage device. You may not have access to advanced features, but you should be able to dump the pictures to your hard drive.
