Does anyone else think this whole... thing is way overrated? It was okay the first time I rented it, but then my parents rented it again, and again, then the show came on and annoyed me, and now they're having roasts of the comedians (if you want to call them that; they don't seem very funny to me anymore). All of that, and people in my town have been screeching, "GIT ER DONE!" for what seems like two years now.
It's all right. I just find it amusing that none of these men have been blue collar workers in, like, 20 years. I don't think Jeff Foxworthy ever was. Didn't he used to be an IBMer?
hahahahaaaaa!!! well, larry the cable guy's from my neck of the woods, so i've been hearin that for over 10 years... and yeah, he was just an average guy for a long time before he hooked up with jeff - he did some radio here but he also had a regular job. i think he's the funniest of them all - we also get 'blue collar tv' - a weekly show broadcast on a local channel here. it's funny as hell. i'm gonna start tapin the shows every week so i can keep 'em for when i'm trippin...
i think its dumb as hell and would rather watch bugs in a bug zapper (and that show is so lame that i probably just stole one of its dumb jokes )
Ron White is funny. The whole Blue Collar concept is just the glorification of stupidity and the ridiculing of dissent and free thought.
eh, it was ok at first. i dont find hillbilly-ism to entertaining tho. its funny that they make fun of themselves tho.. at least they arnt in denial of their stupidity
I don't think it's glorifying stupidity at all. I haven't seen Blue Collar TV, but in their stand-up, they don't seem stupid, with the exception of Larry The Cable Guy. And that's just an act, anyway. It's not the kind of thing that I particularly enjoy, but at least it's better than that generic "now we're going to make the same sex joke 100 times in the next hour" comedy that Comedy Central usually plays.
