I'm a hardcore 60's Psychedelic music fan, and music seems to always come full circle, and I must say the best band out right now definetly has it right with what they are trying to do and that is The Kings of Leon. They got the makings of a great band. And I have to say that Rage Against the Machine is one a the greatest modern bands to come out in a long time, but sadly they dont make music anymore, well not without Zach De la Rocha. They have this new lead singer, some Chris Cornell guy,
it's hard to say. Music is stepping towards harder rock, but it still hold a lot of the pop vocals and nothing very original. Mainstream music is still trash in my opinion. It's getting better, but there's a lot more work to be done. I think this war will influence music to return to the styles tried during the Veitnam war. I don't know why I think so, I just do.
all this gangsta rap crap should die out soon... all those hairbands went thru the same phase in the 80s as these "gangstas", making songs about nothing but cars and girls and their reputation... or we can only hope so anyways then grunge took over, and good britpop came back... i wonder whatll be the dominant genre when this crap has passed...
Of course there are some good modern ones, but things change so music just isn't as good as it used to be.
new mainstream music lacks so much in skill, Half the famous people who are "playing an instrument or singing" arent even playing. It sucks ass
Wow really informed opinion there, you mean that rap artists are playing those mad bass lines? well i'll be damned. Almost all your modern rock groups play there instruments and bands in the 60's used session musicians to a greater extent than they are used today.
