I think it's a new season, but I'm not up to date with the episodes anymore. Anyway, it was the episode about drugs where Homer, Ned, Burns and Apu smuggled medicine from Canada. There was a scene where a Canadian Ned-like dude offered Ned to smoke some weed, claiming that it was legal.

Well, I haven't lived in Canada for a long time, but I don't think it's legal here. Are there any provinces where it is???

And on a non-mj related topic, they had a very negative portrayal of Canada as being intolerent to other cultures, particularly middle-eastern and indian ones. This was very weird to see, since Canada, or Ontario at least, is all about multiculturalism, sometimes even to the point where it gets annoying.

there was another episode of the simpsons where Bart was watching tv and said to Lisa, "Cartoons don't have any meaning, It's just a bunch of hillarious stuff that happens, like people getting hurt and stuff, stuff like that." (then Homer bursts through the door knocking Bart into the wall)

Some Canadian provinces have decriminalized small possesion. Go to www.norml.com for the full laws. Remember, no where on earth is pot technically legal. Its tolerated, decriminalized but not legal. Nor will it ever be.

Unless there's been a really recent change, Pot is legal in India and Nepal.

I have that one downloaded. It does give a negative view of Canadians, but it's "The Simpson's" what don't they give a negative spin on when they're doing a spoof? I thought the "diddly-iddly-doodly" thing going on between Canadain Flanders and American Flanders was hilarious, of course I was puffing on a reeferino, LoL. I have been to Canada many times and I want to live there as well. I found it, the Ontario region anyway, to be extremely clean and beautiful and the people were fantastic. I think it was just some "Simpson's" satire.
I mean if you want to complain about Candian portrayals, watch "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut"!!!
All in all, not a bad episode, there are certainly better ones. One you should check out is when Homer gets prescribed medical marijuana, LMAO. It's the best.

ya The simpsons are getting stupider by the season, way back when I was like 6 they atleast had a plot that was interesting, not like nowadays(like the one where bart goes to a rap concert, and then pretends to be kidnapped, completely blowed ass)
altho I thought it was funny when homer was like "When he gets home he will be like NWA, Not Without Asswelches. HAHAHAHAHAHA
