yes, yesterday it was announced, died at 60 in his home yea im putting all his solo albums on repeat (Barrett, Madcap Laughs, Opel), Piper and Saucerful and his singles (see emily play) all day long. Ive never felt his music that intense before. its giving me crazy sensations, like if he were singing from the other side, i can feel it so well...
lol ... im watching all my DVDs with Syd ( i got so much pink floyd DVD's lol )... the Syd Barrett one and Pink Floyd 66-67 is playing all day
Rip SYD. He his probley more at peace now then he was alive. I've been listening to syd songs and songs wrriten about syd(WYWH, brain damage etc.) Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!
i only just found out from my mum that he died, syd lived in cambridge (where i live) ;D im not going to mourn his death im going to celebrate his life.. and like most people here.. its time to smoke a joint and listen to his genius.. ^^ "I really love you, and i mean you, the star above you, crystal blue"
he kinda had a sad life though, i celebrate his genius, but at the same time its a terrible loss (and awesommmeee. lucky you live in cambrdige )
lol yeah its ace, never got to see him around town though, he didnt get out much apparently. how many times if i try if i may when youre in the milky waay ^^
