Well, I went to those sites-the first site, the anti-hippy one, is obviously meant as a joke, so I can't say that it qualifies as a hate site at all.

The second one is a "Southern" "states rights" kinda site, but I wouldn't say that it really qualifies as a hate site either. They're even against the war in Iraq and the US invading other countries:http://www.leagueofthesouth.net/blog/weblog.php so I couldn't really characterize their message as 'hate'. It's true that they display the Confederate flag, but as a Southerner myself (I'm not proud of that, it just happens to be where I live) I realize that not everybody that has a Confederate flag is a member of the KKK. They actually seem to be a realtively intelligent bunch (as opposed to the KKK types), although they're certainly not my cup of tea.

Now, you're assignment is to go and find some REAL hate sites so that we can get good and pissed off about them!

Some white pride guy was promoting this site on another forum I was on for a while.

The beauty of the internet is that it is a place where true free speech is possible. These people have just as much right to have their opinions as we do. Even if it is a message of hate.

This is what splcenter.org said about dixienet.org
Many groups celebrate traditional Southern culture and the Civil War's dramatic conflict between the Union and the Confederacy. But some groups go further and embrace racist attitudes towards blacks and, in some cases, white separatism. Such groups are listed in this category.
The League of the South, founded in 1994 and counting some 9,000 members by 2001, is at the center of the racist neo-Confederate movement. Calling once again for Southern secession, the League's leaders say minorities are destroying the "Anglo-Celtic" (white) culture of the South. They oppose most non-white immigration and all interracial marriages. Founder Michael Hill, a former college professor, has called blacks "a deadly and compliant underclass" and has embraced well-known white supremacists such as North Carolina attorney Kirk Lyons.

Like I said, they have every right to be here as do we. If we flame them, then we would be stooping to their levels. Why fight hate with hate?

good point. the reason for these sites existing is to provoke hatred. and guess what? they've succeeded.

to fight against them, i propose we show love to them rather than hate. then they might change their ways.

People have the right to hate. They have the right to say what they want, whether YOU like it or not. Stop only thinking of yourself.

Amen, sister. We fight for fre speech, this includes free speech for the hate sites. If you don't like them, don't visit them. I don't like Rush Limburger. I don't listen to him. Problem solved.

If a hippy site is up, then a hate site is up. This, we call balance. See, because if you were to ban hate, and spam them, then that would be contradicting hippy ideals, i.e. freedom of speech, which this site uses aggressively. Also I was recently viewing past posts, and came across a number of members who have been banned. These being Justwow, FightingFirst, and Jarhead. Now. These were people who were quite obviously associated with these 'hate' sites, and spammed your forums. By spamming the hate forums, you create a paradox. So in the end, you would be no better then say, Justwow.

Why should anyone really give a fuck?

Seriously, there are far better and more interesting things you can be doing than whining about someone else's website.

    Haha.
